Dingy, door was broken, sink was clogged and grimy, bath towels were all stained, shower water would not hold temperature, vending machines were empty. I had booked two nights, but left after the first night despite the hotel not willing to provide refund for the second night.

Had a great time at Caliente Tropics. Outside pool area was well maintained, pool and spa were spotless. Pool was heated to a perfect temperature. Our only complaint was that the rooms were a little run down but they were very clean.

The room was clean and adequate. The closet was just a coat rack but there was a double sink so plenty of room to wash up and get ready. Beds were clean and comfortable. There are not enough good things to say about The Reef. The tropical tiki drink menu is extensive and has a very inviting atmosphere. The bar staff is very friendly. I’m very picky of Mai tais and there’s was perfection. I also had chips and salsa (salsa was spicy but not overly so). The blue cheese burger was phenomenal and the accompanying fries were perfectly done. Will definitely make this a stop every time I go to Palm Springs. I would also stay at the hotel again as it is centrally located.

Rooms were clean and we appreciated the 60-70's island tropics vibe. Only issue was the hot water. Sometimes hot water in the shower would go away. Some friends in another room had to relocate because the handle wouldn't turn properly for hot water. Ours was also kinda wonky and old where it seemed like you were going to yank it out of the wall just to turn it on.
