We've been staying in La Quinta hotels for our last few get aways and this is the first one who asked for more money at check in because of our dog. THIS La Quinta also made us request the usual amenities.

Because the sink and counter are in the bathroom the other people in the room are unable to get ready to go when someone is showering. There is a mirror but no electrical outlet near that mirror allowing people to blow dry hair or put on makeup. The mirror should be above the desk where there are outlets and a surface to lay down the items you will be using. Otherwise, rooms are great. They look nice and are clean. Everything works with new tv, frig, microwave. Beds very comfortable. Just put a mirror over the desk.

The bed and room itself was okay but their was an overall mustiness in the whole building. Some parts seemed rundown

Made reservation with two dogs. For whatever reason was not on check in. 2nd night I get a call Late in evening asking if I needed help with my dog. Seemed shady. My partner is legally deaf and can’t hear phone and I was asleep. Then the manager calls back and asks if I have pets. I explained I made my reservation with pets understanding 40.00 charge. Get a third call asking to come sign waivers and I said I would in the morning. The next morning I didn’t get a very warm reception from the front desk. That night I get another call that my dog whined when we left for universal studios only after 5 min. Supposedly a housekeeper heard it but know one was on the floor when we left. No guest had complained I said if he did he will go to sleep. Come back that night and the neighbors dog is uncontrollably barking. Any time we left we would look up at the hall windows and some employee would be watching us. In summary it seems they thought we tried to check in and sneak 2 dogs in. Then decided to stalk and give us a hard time.
