"Charming, beautifully maintained, historic hotel located in former Armory of the Maine national guard. Lovely outdoor summer dining in a small garden setting across a small rotunda, as well as within the he hotel itself. Service excellent and gracious and cleanliness seems to be impeccable. To me, a rare find today and a lovely place to stay. "

"The room was pretty big and comfortable for two people and all of the furniture was great. Cleanliness was on point. The only downside was that, there wasn't anybody replenishing the breakfast items when they were running low, so you better get there as early as possible."

"We enjoyed our stay. The room was a bit small, especially the bathroom, but comfortable enough for 2 people. I would have liked a chair besides the desk chair but that was really the only thing I was missing. The bed was very comfortable, in fact one of the best hotel mattresses I've slept on. It was very convenient to the highway. The staff we interacted with were all pleasant and helpful. The area was quiet, despite being right by the highway, though we could hear people in the hallway. Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of options from waffles (even on weekdays), eggs and a meat option, hot and ready oatmeal, breads, yogurt and cereals. I would have appreciated some lower sugar options for yogurt, but there were a few different flavors. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. "
