Conveniently Located, but Lacking Comfort
We recently stayed here and unfortunately, there were several issues that made our experience less than ideal. The stairs felt unstable and not very safe. The kitchen could use some attention, the sponges left on top of the sink appeared unsanitary, the utensils were dirty when we arrived, and the cabinets really need knobs or handles to make them functional. In the master bathroom, the sink drain was very slow, which was frustrating to deal with. Noise was also a big issue, the walls are thin, and we could hear every car that passed by on the street. On top of that, there are roosters nearby that start crowing around 6am and continue for about an hour, which made sleeping in difficult. That said, one major positive was the location. There are plenty of stores and restaurants close by, which was super convenient.Overall, the stay could have been much better with a few upgrades and more attention to basic maintenance and cleanliness.

Cute apartment at the back of an historic home
The property is clean with nice furnishings. The bathrooms have nice tile. The linens are of good quality and the beds are comfortable. The upstairs bedroom is of a good size. Just be aware that there is no living area, no sofa. I missed that on the listing. The stairwell is very steep and not for the elderly or small children. The 2 bedrooms downstairs are quite snug as they are in the basement with a lower ceiling than normal. The kitchen could use new dish wear and glasses.
This is a perfect rental in New Orleans. Huge historical home with updated interior. Easy parking right in front of the house. Short Uber ride to all the fun.

Almost
The property is quite beautiful, and its location in the city is convenient, with a delicious seafood restaurant and shopping nearby. However, there are a few issues worth noting. Firstly, the pictures were somewhat accurate, but there is no Wi-Fi available, which should be clearly stated in the listing to avoid any surprises.
Additionally, the host does not seem to stay in the same city as the property. Upon arrival, I had to spend time cleaning—removing eyelash glue from countertops, dealing with a foul-smelling fridge, and buying bug spray to address a spider issue. The stairs are shaky and inconvenient, and there is no comfortable sitting area. Essentially, this place is best suited as a basic spot to sleep rather than for any short stay.only if I can post the photos

Nice and cozy place
My family and I enjoyed our stay here. It was a nice and cozy home in uptown NOLA and surprisingly had more than enough parking spots for our cars. It had everything we needed, and the host was very responsive anytime we had questions therefore overall, we had a good time.

A place with potential
Our family of five spent three nights in NOLA for a convention at the convention center.
Pros:
--This house was just a few miles away and easy to find.
--There was always easy street parking directly in front of the house.
--The host communicated well and was helpful in resolving issues. For example, when the air mattress and bedding were not in the apartment, the host had it delivered in an hour.
--The king bed is comfortable.
--The kitchen had basic cooking items, seasonings, coffee, etc.
Cons:
--Take the notice on the listing about construction downstairs seriously. There was nothing but floorboards between us and the workers, so every noise seemed like they were in the apartment with us. The one day they started at 7:30 am and didn't quit until 9:45 pm. The noise of their tools was so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves or the TV, and things were literally vibrating off the shelf in the kitchen.
--There is a rooster next door that started crowing around 3:00 every morning and didn't quit until daylight. Earplugs advised.
--The frame of the couch is broken, so it is impossible to use it as a sofa bed. We put the mattress on the floor, but even the kids thought it was uncomfortable. The listing says it sleeps six, but four or less is more realistic.
In short, finish the renovations, stew the rooster, and replace the couch, and this place will be a good option.
