At first, I was very disappointed! I called at noon because we inquired checking in early. They told me my room was ready and there would be no added fee. After arriving to check-in, they said oh no your room won’t be ready until 4pm. I don’t know who told you but it’s not ready and I can’t do anything besides call you at 4 when it’s ready. Just the tone of the customer service, and us being out of town with a toddler and no room was really annoying. After finally getting the key, the stay was good and we weren’t bothered & enjoyed ourself.

Very noisy. The doors were very heavy therefore housekeeping let them slam shut all morning! They pounding on room doors yelling housekeeping which woke me up early every morning. No AC in hallways so the windows were left open 24/7 causing loud noise from traffic to keep you up all night! Elevators were slow and parking was unbearable. Not enough parking for the amount of rooms. Breakfast was across the street behind parking lot which was inconvenient and Laundry was across the street. Beds were uncomfortable. Needless to say I didn’t sleep all week.

Lori, thank you for opting to stay with the Dayton House Resort as you visited the coast of South Carolina. We are sorry that you were disturbed by noise during your stay. Our housekeeping team begins their rounds at 9:00 am to ensure folks are able to sleep in a little and that all rooms are cleaned in the time available. July is the height of the summer season in this tourist destination. Our property and most others, along the Grand Strand, are often filled to capacity. For those disturbed by summer crowds and the hustle and bustle it brings we often suggest a visit in the fall or early spring. In this way you may still enjoy warmer weather as well as the bonus of expanded elbow room. We regret that parking led to confusion. Our guest services team provides each patron with a property map at check-in. Here they may observe all parking lots, and parking decks available. These maps are also posted in each elevator. Additionally, guest services is at your disposal twenty four hours a day in the event you require assistance with parking. The best option is our six level parking garage located next to the breakfast restaurant. This structure is never completely full, ensuring quick and fool proof access to a space. Once more we want you to know how much we appreciate your recent visit. Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of those items that were most important to you. Feel free to contact our team to discuss off-season advantages and rates. Our crew looks forward to serving you in the future.

We love our stay here . Was just 2 night but hope to come back for more. Love all the different pools and hot tubes to choose from. It was cool they had a little food hut and drink bar just wish we could hace tried it out but it was closing by the time we found out about it. But we still had a great time and cant wait till next time.

I loved the breakfast! Overall condition of hotel very good. Would have been great to have all doors around pool to close to keep out cold winds. This would have made the indoor pools available to swim in. The bathroom needed a hook on the door to hang clothes on. Staff was very friendly and responded to my needs.
