This Marriott is being renovated and I’m sure that when it’s done, it’ll be a wonderful hotel. If they also get new staff. The beds are uncomfortable and we woke up with backaches. The rooms are newly wallpapered and carpeted, the smell of chemicals is overwhelming and headache inducing. We tried an air freshener, but it didn’t help. The entire hotel is dusty and dirty. We were woken up by the construction banging and power tools whirring every morning. To top it all off, the front desk staff was not even friendly. We have always loved our stays at any Marriott, but I will not return to this one and don’t recommend it at all. Everything’s in makeshift order.

Nobody tell us the Hotel is under major construction no lobby no bar no restaurants toilet and always looks disgusting hot tub is missing I know that has to be done next time put this thing before we book the hotel looks like a war zone I will need something for Marriott for Destroying the weekend thank you 847-309-2041 but also looks bad on your side

Really disappointing stay.

Pros: Location
Cons: See comments above. Poor customer service and dirty rooms.
When I checked in, I was given a room on the seventh floor. I took my key cards and went to the room. It smelled very strongly of smoke, so I called the front desk to get another room. I was on hold for at least 5 minutes and was then given a room on the eighth floor, but had to take my luggage and go down to the front desk to get my key card. I went to the new room and it was a suite with a meeting area separate from the bedroom. It was dirty and several lights didn't work. The carpet was stained and had not been vacuumed. The glass on the end tables had not been dusted for quite some time. I tried to open what I thought was a cupboard but was a panel to cover the plumbing and the panel fell on my foot. I didn't have time to get another room, so stayed there and when I checked out the following morning, I shared this info with the front desk and the employee simply shrugged off the comments and offered no apology, etc. I completed an on-line email survey and got a response that was basically a non-response. FYI, I stayed at this hotel in 2005 when I moved to Madison and it looks like there have been no updates to the rooms in 13 years other than new televisions. Bottom line...……….This is the worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. Expensive dirty room and lousy service. I will never stay at a Marriott again.

Travelling alone,I felt safe in this hotel as well as comfortable.

I would recommend this hotel because of the quality of service I get at the front service. Room is clean and roomy which I enjoyed the spaciousness of the room.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet, Noisy
every thing was nice but there where some really loud parties that where very anoying

Go someplace else

Ended up coming during a football coaches' conference we weren't affiliated with, and guests were loud and vulgar, slamming doors in the middle of the night and drinking out in the hallways, even right outside our door. Security didn't do anything. Staff said they couldn't move us to a different room because the hotel was full and conference attendees took up 95% of the rooms. Wish they had told us there was a conference when we checked in with three small children. We didn't get much sleep. Wireless cost $13 a day. No free breakfast. Beds were lumpy and sheets were pulled off by the morning because bottom sheet wouldn't stay on. No fridge in room. Television was standard 27 inch, not a flat screen like at most hotels in this class these days. Looks like a new, well-appointed hotel from the outside, but inside it is well-worn and not all that modern. No fridge in the room. Bathroom had broken ceramic tiles. Exposed plumbing had thick layer of dust.
