Proximity to the State Capitol and the famous farmer's market. Convenience. Starbucks adjascent. Rooms are spacious and the hotel two major views - lake view (from the distance) and Capitol. Friendly staff both at the desk and the bar - excellent expresso martini. Negative: no digital safe box but ancient/stone age box kept in the back of the front desk. They should move to digitatization and fully integrate into a technology savy operation.

Our room was adequate, but could use some updating. Pros: Large room Quiet Clean, comfortable king sized bed Cons: Musky odor Stains on furniture and curtain Slow draining shower It seems this hotel has two classes of rooms, and the superior rooms on top three floors are part of the “Governor’s Club.” They receive access to the Governor’s Club and other benefits. We were staying in one of the standard rooms and I can’t help but wonder if these more basic rooms don’t get the hotel’s full attention. Additionally, there was no mention of our Silver rewards benefit upon check in, and we did not receive the complimentary drink or whatever it was suppose to be.

It was perfectly appointed and so incredibly comfortable and clean. I felt like a VIP as soon as I walked in the door. The Governor’s Club is an absolute necessity. I will definitely be staying there again.
