The hotel location is excellent

Pros: The location is excellent
Cons: The rooms need to be updated
Location: Location excellent, walking distance to great restaurants and the town
Te hotel is in desperate need of a complete renovation inside. I've been going to Peublo Bonito Rose and Blanco for years and the rooms are the same. I had a bad experience this year at Rose, check-in was disastrous, then I had my expensive Dior sunglasses stolen and management took no responsibility for it, in fact they did nothing about it, they didn't even bother getting back to me. I am seriously in two minds thinking about ever going back there.

Fun Getaway

My boyfriend and I stayed here for five out of the six nights we booked (we missed our flight here - grrrr!) We stayed the middle of October over a weekend through mid week. The room was clean and spacious. We were able to turn the two queen beds into the largest king you'll ever see. It was decently comfortable. It was convienent to have large fridge, we only used the silverware in the kitchenette. If we didn't do the all inclusive I'm sure we would've taken advantage of it more. The bathroom was simple and neat. The water pressure in the shower was the only thing no bueno to me. I have thick hair so it took awhile to wash out the shampoo. Besides that, the beach was amazing, the service at the beach and the bars were great. This is not the place if you're a foodie looking to find the next amazing meal. All the food was just basic. Randomly enough, my bf raved about the oatmeal for days. This hotel had a great location to the beach, within steps, which is perfect for us.

Wow! What an amazing resort!

Location: Beautiful beachfront location with breathtaking views of the entire rock formations in the distance.
The room was clean, in fact the entire resort was immaculate. All staff was so welcoming. Every interaction was met with a smile. All inclusive is the way to go.

Beautiful and great place.

The hotel was everything I expected and more. I have no complaints about the hotel. There was confusion when I arrived to Cabo for transportation to the hotel. I had to ask at least 20 people if I was on their list to take me to the hotel. Finally I came up to a Grey Line person and they said that they transport for travelocity clients. One problem, my name wasn't on the list. The very nice young lady made a phone call and confirmed I was on the list. A major let down when you're looking forward to your vacation. Hope that doesn't happen to anyone.

Nice hotel.

Pros: The grounds and pool are gorgeous
Cons: Maybe more wait staff around the pool area
Location: Shopping less than a mile away down by the marina
We arrived early and they were able to check us in at noon. I believe because we did that, we were given the first available, which in turn was a handicapped room. It was very spacious, with a mini kitchen which was nice. I really think that they need to have a map of their hotel, listing the restaurants (if all inclusive or not) and their locations. The food at the buffet was good, with lots of choices. The hotel is right by the beach, however, take note; the sand is kind of gritty, not fine white soft sand, and it gets HOT. There isn't a whole lot of beach to play on for the kids either. Personally, I wouldn't take my kids here simply because they like to play in the water and the tide had an incredible pull and I saw several adults get knocked down. The water went from walk in, up to my knees, then a drop off and it was up to my shoulders. Also, when you walk down the hotel steps onto the beach, you WILL be bombarded by people trying to sell their goods. (hats, hair braiding, jewelry, etc) They were nice but a little pushy. They are behind a roped off area, however the children selling candy and small toys sneak into the hotel lounge area to sell. Beautiful hotel grounds. Take the time to walk down the street and do a little city shopping. --TIP: tip your bartenders and waiters, just like you would in the states and you will get better treatment. Just like you would in the states, lol

Such a wonderful trip!!!

Pros: Large rooms, beautiful grounds, gym, spa, good food and drinks, nice beach and pool areas
Cons: For one out of ten sit-down meals we had slow service. For one out of 50 trips to the bar we had extremely slow service.
Location: Shuttle to/from sister resorts, or an $8 cab to downtown, $12 cab to the marina for snorkeling/cruise excursions. Beautiful location on the beach.
4 of us (ages 27-30) went on a girls trip and we were all so pleased with everything! I was a little skeptical because of some of the unfavorable reviews, but I honestly don't know how someone could be unhappy at the Pueblo Bonito resorts. The Rose is beautiful, and much more updated than I expected. The rooms were clean/comfy with plenty of space and large bathroom. The food/drinks were better than I expected from an all-inclusive. The gym is huge, the spa was perfect, the grounds are beautifully maintained... I could go on. I gave a 5-star review not necessarily because it's a 5-star resort, but because it was above and beyond what I expected from a 4-star resort. The staff is friendly, and most of all we felt extremely safe and comfortable!

On the beach but that is about it!

Pros: That it was on the beach.
Cons: Quality of the food and the rooms can be cleaned better.
Location: nice location just not a mediocre hotel.
First of all, we specifically booked this room because we thought we were getting a partial oceanview from our balcony as the pictures and description described, however we ended up with a view of the pool which was ok but not what we paid for. The room was not very clean on arrival and was not cleaned on the 2nd day with at least some fresh towels and toiletries, even though we returned from a 8:00 to 4:30 trip to the beach; so my husband had to chase those things down . The guest upstairs was a nightmare it sounded as though they were moving furniture around all night, yelling and screaming all night every single night of stay. As far as the buffet was concerned it was way below average and more appetizing for the birds flying in and out of it! The better restaurants like cilantro were next door and at least had some flavor and taste to it with better service. Room service was down right awful, and I shared a picture below of there rendition of sausage, looks like what the picture is and that is hotdogs. The only saving amenity of this hotel, was the beach and the drinks at the beach. Otherwise not worth top dollar spent. Beware of the pushy timeshare folks at the airport shuttle service and hotel, we declined the presentation but we did over hear other guest frustrated that they were held up in a 4 hour presentation that was suppossed to be 75 minutes.

Dated with terrible service

Pros: Mario and David were the only 2 waiters and positive things about this place. This should be the last resort you should visit.
Cons: Hire new management staff, especially Samantha the restaurant manager as she's ruining peoples' vacations. Shut the place down during construction.
Location: The location is alright, although the waves are too rough and the beach is unusable. This is not family friendly resort especially not for kids.
Let me start by saying that not 100% of restaurant staff was terrible, 90% was. Hotel facilities: The hotel was built in 1994 and it feels older than that. As we walked to the reception, the receptionist barely spoke english, had us listed as 2 adults and a teenager which was absurd since it was 2 adults and 3 children. Don't be fooled, this resort only has 1 legitimate restaurant that it counts as 3. The grill which was part of Mare Nostrum is basically the same thing and has a different menu. The pool was large and there was no hot tub. The pool chairs were uncomfortable as there were no cushions. Construction going on: The construction was going on all day everyday and it was slow moving. At this rate they'll complete it by 2020. The jackhammer was going non stop, so imagine that on your vacation. Food: The food was average at best. The grill cooks some burnt meet. The Mare Nostrum which shares seating are with the grille and the what they call a sushi place has terrible service. The resort appears to be understaffed, so you don't get service and you get mean looks all the time. The restaurant manager SAMANTHA, wow this lady was mean never smiled and loved to turn people away. You had to make a reservation at the only restaurant there is and if there are 25 people there forget it you get no waiter or drinks. They also make you sign for everything and it got annoying. WIFI: The all inclusive package gets free wifi which is terrible. It keeps logging out.

Lost a bit of luster

We have stayed here annually for the last eight years or so. It is still a beautiful resort, but has definitely gone a bit downhill. The housekeeping was less than stellar, and the food and beverage quality has deteriorated, probably due to the all-inclusive plan now available.
