City break on a budget

Booked without reading properly re the shared bathroom. It really was an issue, the bathroom was clean and tidy, plenty of bath mats. Towels were in our room with a double sink. We had a 5 bed family room. Location was perfect, Kings Cross, 2 minutes to tube/St Pancras, 10 minutes to Euston. Can’t beat it for a city break on a budget.

Very convenient location for exploring London. Room was small but comfy. Only downside was lack of private toilet, although we were lucky not to have to wait for other customers during our stay. No frills but ok for the money.

I appreciated the added touch of being shown to the building next door to the main reception and the room I was staying in. The room was extremely clean and cosy for one, with good quality bedding and towels. The shower, although shared, was modern and powerful! Thank you for a comfortable overnight stay for work.

Pleasent stay 5 mins from kings cross station

The reception process was very easy, there was no problem arriving early and leaving my suitcase until I returned later. The room (12) was a single room in the basement ( with a window) it was small but more rhan adequate for 1 night. There was a sink in the room but the wc/shower was across the corridor, this proved to be quite noisy wirh lots of people using it, it was equally difficult to use myself as it seemed to be forever occupied.

Handy Hotel!

The location of the hotel is great especially as we were catching the Eurostar early in the morning from St Pancras International Station, which is a short walk from the hotel. The rooms are small, basic, very practical and the furniture is laid out using the small space really well. There was a curvy narrow step to get to our room but the receptionist was kind enough to carry my large heavy bag down the stairs. I understand that these houses are old and made in this way years ago so I do not think that these stair are a major problem. I do admire the building from the outside as the large black doors and the arched panelled windows really speak out to me the 'London Look'! Inside also has shared bathrooms but saying that they are very private as one person can go in at a time and they are other toilets accessible. We happen to get an upgrade of our room with a quirky way of putting a shower in the room but we still preferred to use the shared bathroom. The only advantage to this was that we had a sink in our room making it easier to brush our teeth and wash our faces instead of going back and fourth to the shared bathroom allow us to be ready quicker. The staff were helpful and informative and as we were leaving early hours of the morning, they made our check out simple and convenient. Overall our stay was cosy and convenient, all that was required for a good nights sleep.

The staff and service was exceptional. Good and easy location for transportation in/out of Kings Cross/St. Pancras. Room fine. A little noisy, but think that was just a couple of guests. I'd stay here again if needed to for the location, ease and value.

We used this hotel as a base for our travels in the UK. It is within 5 minutes walk from St. Pancras/Kings Cross, so it was convenient for the Eurostar to/from Paris, and the regional trains to Edinburgh, Cambridge, and all over the UK. The room was on the smaller side, but the shared bath/shower was large and modern. Inside our room we had our own wash basin and shower combo (which we hardly used) as we preferred the larger shower down the hall.
