The old hotel vibe is alive. You can definitely imagine the 1930s crowd staying in this beautiful hotel. Historic and well preserved.

Had one night after business trip and wanted to stay in a historic hotel. Rooms were minimalist style, yet elegant and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions on dining. We self-parked in the building. The overnight parking fee was very reasonable. The nearby Power and Light District had a major event going on and was closed off to the general public. We ended up eating dinner at the hotel’s Italian Kitchen. Glad we did- excellent food. Overall, had a great stay at Hotel Phillips.

I was overcharged and then they told me they couldn’t help fix it. Charged $92 + $7.01 + $82.19 and I paid for free breakfast. The only thing I should have been charged for was valet which is supposed to be $40. I am furious.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. If you love the vintage vibe of the 1930s this hotel is perfect. Definitely would stay again.

The stay was great. Their are two things I would highly recommend considering a change. One is the hygiene products. I respect the plant based idea but these did not do the job for me or my daughter and we are used to using Suave. Second would be additional items in the vending machine. We located the vending machine and both chuckled and walked out. There were maybe 12 items in the machine.

Nice facility - converted office or bank building? I would describe the hotel as stylish and shop worn: Bathroom sink was loose (from wall), AC made noise from a bad blower fan, many elevator buttons did not light up.

Group trip

We visited the city to attend a fire department anniversary, and our hotel was perfect for the occasion. The speakeasy was charming and quaint, and we loved how everything we needed was within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

When we checked in on Monday Sept. 8th it was the worst check-in experience i have ever had. I stood in line close to one hour with only 2 people ahead of me. The lone employee actually left us alone, as he went upstairs to room 1303 to help with a clogged drain, it was unbelievable. The coffee in the lobby also had LOTS of grounds in it. But.......Edmund Vaughan made it all disappear, he made a terrible situation the night before instantly disappear with the way he helped us, offering us several different solutions. Fowzia at the front desk was also superb in her getting us to Edmund, and just being a great help (and person) to us, in a tough situation.
