The house was exactly as pictured. Very cozy place to stay with lots to do right at the house. We enjoyed the views, the hot tub and the fire table outside. Inside we had fun playing shuffle board tournaments and enjoying other games that were there too. The house is very well stocked and the snacks and coffee were a very nice extra touch! Beds were all comfortable and bathrooms were really nice too! The bear activity was high while we were there, so make sure you lock everything all the time. We will definitely rebook this house when/if we make it back to Gatlinburg again.

The cabin was absolutley wonderful for our family springbreak getaway. The game room was fun, the hot tub was great and my family of 4 had a great few days. The cabin is equipped with everything you need and more! The views are beautiful. I definitely recommend staying here.

We booked this property to celebrate my birthday. The house, the hosts and experience were wonderful. It totally exceeded all expectations. The house was beautifully decorated and owners were in tune to every detail to make your stay comfortable and pleasurable. The hosts , Sonya & Ben, went above and beyond being gracious and hospitable. They provided a fully stocked coffee bar, snack bar and all bathroom toiletries. We were impressed with the cleanliness. We have found our favorite rental in the Smokies and will be back soon. Thank you again to Sonya & Ben for sharing your remarkable home.

This cabin was amazing! Clean rooms, beautiful decor, beds so comfortable! Every amenity you could think of! The coffee setup and snacks were so great! Air hockey, pool table, arcade game, shuffleboard, hot tub. Sooooo much for the kids to do! And the view…unbelievably beautiful views! I woke early both mornings just to get my coffee and watch the sunrise from the deck. We’ve stayed in a lot of rentals over the years, this one by far exceeded all of them. We will come and stay again.

This was not an underrated stay—it was everything and more. From breathtaking morning sunrises to glowing afternoon sunsets, the views alone made this place unforgettable.Our two families had plenty of space to spread out, and the layout was perfect. The kids especially loved the basement game room and separate living area, which gave everyone room to relax and enjoy their own space. The home was thoughtfully provisioned with everything we needed, and the kitchen was a dream with generous prep space that made cooking for a group easy and enjoyable.The Christmas decorations and cozy fireplace created the perfect atmosphere to ring in the New Year—warm, festive, and memorable. This home truly feels like a Smoky Mountain gem, and it exceeded our expectations in every way.We would absolutely stay here again.

One of the absolute best VRBOs we have ever stayed at! The finish out and decor was very well thought out and the mountain views from the porches were simply amazing to look at each morning while drinking coffee and sunsets with a glass of wine. Beds very comfy and with the numerous games throughout the home for the kids it was a perfect family set up. And Sonya was very quick to respond to any questions as well as gave many recommendations to help make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommend to all!!!!

We arrived very late at night, but thanks to incredible communication by the owner, we walked right in. The cabin was huge inside and had everything you could need. Since we arrived late at night, I wasn’t able to fully appreciate this location until the following morning when I was greeted by a SPECTACULAR view of the mountains. The cabin is at the end of a road so you have amazing unobstructed views for days. I highly recommend this cabin for its views, proximity to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, amenities, and living spaces. I almost wish there wasn’t so much to do in the area so we could’ve just stayed in the cabin and enjoyed all it has to offer. One more note… We did see one large male black bear on the road up to the cabin, which was super exciting, so definitely pay attention to their instructions.

We have been vacationing in Gatlinburg for 25 years. We have stayed in some very nice places but The Golden Acorn takes the cake. We have never rented somewhere that the owners thought of everything and then some. Everything was exquisite and exceptionally clean. We arrived at night and awoke to an absolutely stunning view of the mountains and Gatlinburg. The decor is outstanding and everything felt cozy. We all had a blast playing games, enjoying the outdoor porches, the fire pit and the hot tub. We hardly wanted to leave the cabin. A heartfelt Thank You to the owners! You went above and beyond! We are planning to return year after year!

Perfect Cabin Getaway!

The property was JUST as described in the listing and pictures were spot on, but the view is a must see in person!! The cabin was extremely clean and everything you could possibly need is supplied (they even supply things you may have possibly forgotten) which is very appreciated! The games in the cabin kept my teenagers busy while the trains and smaller toys were perfect for my nephew. The owners are very easy to communicate and check in numerous times to make sure we had everything we needed! We had the opportunity to see a bear and a cub on the drive down the mountain, while even seeing a double rainbow from the balcony during a rainstorm. It truly was the perfect long weekend at The Golden Acorn and we will definitely return!

Amazing Cabin!

The cabin is amazing! This cabin has incredible views and very comfortable beds. Everything is just like the pictures and even better! The kitchen has everything you could need to cook a great meal even an air fryer! Sonya was incredibly responsive to any questions we had. I would absolutely stay here again!
