80th Birthday family trip

We loved our stay! Home was absolutely beautiful! We had 11 of us and was perfect in that there was so much to do and lots of space for everyone. We all enjoyed movie night and the game room. Patio was so nice/gorgeous view!

A perfect mountain getaway

The Funky Bear Lodge is a beautiful home in a great, accessible location with stunning views and easy access to downtown. The check-in process was seamless, and Zack was incredibly helpful, providing us with great recommendations for our stay. Each bedroom was spacious and featured a fully equipped bathroom with plenty of towels. The kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed, and the furniture throughout the home was super comfortable. We especially loved the game room, relaxing in the hot tub, and the amazing movie theater—it really made our stay special. I highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a fun and comfortable place to stay!

Very nice house, clean, well tooled, plenty of entertainment and features for entertainment such as kitchen, dining, family group setting .Suggested improvements:gas grill station for grilling, more outside room/accomodations. Need better signage for locating the address, I saw none at access for this satellite location.

Spacious, clean, and comfortable for large group!

Wonderful stay at this cabin with 12 people, small children and adults. Cabin is fully equipped with everything to cook dinners and entertain here. Beautiful views from balcony and patio, hot tub was very nice. Great location near Gatlinburg activities, very clean and updated cabin with great decor. We really enjoyed our stay here for our large group, each room has a full bath attached. Highly recommend!

Perfect for large family - checked all boxes!

The cabin did not disappoint! It was located in a central area that it took us no longer than 15 minutes to get to all the attractions in Gatlinburg, the Island of Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and yes even Publix!. The views of the city were breathtaking. The cabin itself was one of the cleanest VRBOs I have ever stayed in and the decor was so cute and cozy for the holidays I felt like I was at home. Communication with Zack was 5 star from the very beginning during the initial booking period when my family was picking dates and throughout our stay. I had reached out when we first got there to notify him that the microwave handle was broken (not a big deal on our end but just wanted to let him know that I found it like that when we arrived). I had no expectation of the microwave being fixed while we were there but to our surprise Zack reached out within a few hours and had his parents there to fix the handle. The theater room and game room got a lot of play with our family. Perfect spot for everyone to gather at the end of our days. My only wish is that we had a real fireplace to be able to roast s’mores, but the electric fireplace in the living room gave off enough heat to keep us warm and was a beautiful statement piece in the living room. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and would come back again!

Thanksgiving with friends and family

We checked in Wednesday and checked out Sunday. Our Thanksgiving vacation was amazing. The views from the house were spectacular, and the theatre room and game room were very popular. All the bedrooms were comfortable and it was nice to have each bedroom with its own bathroom.

Great place to stay

Great place for large family! Very clean and modern! Amazing views and getting around was easy! Game room was great for fun nights in! My kids brought their xbox and had a great time the the theater room! Highly recommend!

Amazing home

Funky Bear Lodge was hands down the best VRBO house our family has stayed at. The king beds in each bedroom made all of the couples in our group comfortable and the room with the twin beds was great for the kids. The theme of the home is fun and all the artwork is awesome. We had a "pet" bear who visited around the same time each day and just casually wandered through the parking lot. We got lots of great pictures. The view is spectacular, there's tons of seating for everyone, we really appreciated how clean everything was, and the movie room was great! This home can't be beat.

Fantastic mini-break

We visited the week of July 4th with our two teens, friends of ours, and their two teens. The house was perfect. Immaculately clean and plenty of space to all of us to sleep, hang out, play and just be. Location was a short drive to town and area activities. The host was responsive and thorough in all communications. As 8 picky travelers, we all really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again next time we are in the area. Thanks for an easy and great trip!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Our family, ages 69 to 3 years-old stayed at this lovely home just minutes from the top of OberGatlinburg and it was perfect in every way! Its brand new and beautifully decorated. The children and the adults enjoyed the game room and theater room! Great location and beautiful views! Host was very accommodating and easy to contact! Will definitely return! 5 stars!!!

Amazing house with great views and amenities

I stayed here with a group of 10 friends. We found the place very clean, spacious, and accommodating to other needs. The amenities including the hot tub, game room, and multiple TVs added to the enjoyment. The views from the balconies were spectacular and the proximity to the park was very convenient. Although the communication from the host was less personal and more automated, the communications were clear and informative and the host provided contact info if more personal communication was needed.

Beautiful cabin in an excellent location

Our family of 11 had a wonderful stay at The Funky Bear Cabin! There is plenty of room for a large group. The game room, theatre and hot tub were a highlight for the kids. The location is perfect with an easy drive down into downtown Gatlinburg and easy drive over to Pigeon Forge as well. The views are absolutely incredible - we even saw a few bears! We look forward to staying at The Funky Bear again in the future!

Fantastic and Perfect

This property is a perfect place for a big family. Wonderful house, Huge! Extremely clean and spacious, with everything available. We really enjoy the game room and the theater room. A Bathroom in every Bedroom is a plus! Lines and towels were of a good quality. Every think looks like a magazine. The host has a perfect communication. I will definitely stay here again and again and I recommend this place with no doubt.

Family Gathering

We had so much fun! This was a Christmas Celebration with our kids and grandkids. The cabin was beautiful and was like Christmas Magic with all of the decorations! Greatly appreciated. Zach and his dad Tim were so very helpful with everything we experienced. The kids loved the hot tub, game too, and movie theatre. Just perfect. Thank you for everything!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Funky Bear cabin this past weekend. The home was clean and comfortable. My grandchildren loved the game room! The kitchen is well equipped and large dining table allowed us to enjoy meals together. Views were amazing and to top it all… we saw a bear on the way out!

Beautiful house with spectacular views!

Our family stayed here with my sister and her family for our kids’ spring break, kids aged 3-12. It was perfect! The view caught my attention and it is even more beautiful in person, especially during sunrise. Everything about the set up of this house is well thought-out, from the labels on the light switches and kitchen drawers and shelves to the 6 beach towels in the lower level for the hot tub. The lower level was fun for kids and adults and everything was set up with clear directions and worked perfectly (including the ease of the tv set up). On top of that, the decorating in the house is perfect! I loved the bear theme - pay attention to the movie poster titles in the movie room, nice touch! The furniture on the porch was comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable. Zach was also quick to respond to any questions. If I had to give any constructive feedback, it would be to have a larger porch if more similar houses were being built (we did appreciate being able to eat meals on the porch at the table but that was a bit tight for 8 of us to move around the table.) My husband said the theater room would be even better with surround sound. I can’t wait to return and hope we can return to this property.
