When you fly in to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), you're flying into Canada's largest, busiest airport. With such a high volume of air traffic, Ontario flights are abundant and airfare is quite reasonably priced. The airport is close to Air Canada Center (home to the Maple Leafs), the CN tower (the tallest structure in the Western hemisphere), the Toronto zoo, microbreweries, vineyards, museums, parks ... in other words, fly to Toronto and land in a land offering fun for all.
Toronto's airport is just 17 miles northwest of downtown, making hotels near Pearson International Airport a convenient home base for your Ontario visit. After collecting your luggage, head to Level 1 of the parking garages adjacent to either terminal to find the major rental car companies' counters so you can rent a car to get to your hotel. To reach additional, smaller car-rental companies, take the airport's inter-terminal LINK train to the last stop, Viscount Station. Taxis are plentiful but expensive. A rental car is a convenient, cost-effective way to get around if you plan to explore. And why wouldn't you? Drive to Niagara Falls, about 80 miles from the city, and visit the many markets full of farm-fresh foods, vintage clothes, and handcrafted works of art. Odds are good that you'll visit Dundas Square multiple times during your stay. The heart of the city, the square is located at the corner of Dundas and Yonge Streets (at 1,178 miles long, it's been named the longest street in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records.) The square features open-air concerts, world-class restaurants, and the Eaton Centre shopping plaza, which is Toronto's top tourist draw.
