    Aruba Hotel Travel Guide

When you're visiting the tiny island of Aruba, located in the southern Caribbean Sea, you're almost guaranteed glorious, sunny weather at whichever of the Aruba resorts you choose. Enjoy white, sandy beaches, a vast array of water sports, and shopping for souvenirs in the friendly town of Oranjestad.

    Out and About in Aruba

Aruba is not known as One Happy Island for nothing; the welcome you get there is outstanding, and resorts in Aruba go out of their way to make sure your stay is a pleasant and relaxing one. The island belongs to the Netherlands, so the Dutch influence in architecture is strong, and some great examples, with a colorful Caribbean touch, are found in Oranjestad. History buffs enjoy touring the museums, which include the Historical Museum and the National Archaeological Museum.

Arikok National Park is a fascinating area, so browse around the Visitor Center for an overview of the flora and fauna of the park, and then explore the dramatic landscapes. Guests at hotels in Aruba enjoy the dozen beaches dotted along the island's coastline, many offering calm water ideal for paddling and swimming. If you're a little more adventurous, take advantage of the scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing and windsurfing facilities on offer.

    Eating and Drinking

Many of the U.S. chain restaurants and fast food outlets are represented in Aruba, so you'll still be able to eat your favorite foods. There are also quite a number of local eateries, all of which offer tasty dishes at reasonable prices. Be sure to try the traditional cheese balls stuffed with minced meat, bean fritters, and a variety of delicious soups. No visit to the Caribbean is complete without tropical cocktails, so order the house specialty. Party buses are on offer in Oranjestad, and you'll visit a number of bars and nightclubs.

Your vacation resort is also sure to have live entertainment, theme nights, and cruise parties. Browse Travelocity for cheap resorts in Aruba, and save up to $547 when you book your hotel and flight at the same time. Visit Aruba and become part of the big, happy family.

    "great birthday vacation "
Had a wonderful stay at the Riu Palace Aruba. Had a great view. The food was really good, so I ate way too much. On my birthday, they left a special birthday cake in my room. It was a real surprise and the cake was delicious. Everyone was friendly. Have stayed at several Riu's and this is one of my favorites.

"Great Beach, Manicured Hotel grounds, nice rooms"
Great value for the money. The facilities were very well-manicured. The rooms were also very nice but not dazzling. I liked how they put a fresh face on the conventional rectangular hotel box of yore by giving it ceramic floors, quartz countertops and a heavy rolling glass shower door in the bathroom area. It had one of the best beaches of all the hotel properties on Palm Beach. We made use of the free bikes a couple of days on our stay as well as tennis rackets. I'm sure the food is good but I think it's better to not book all inclusive in Aruba because of all the great restaurants close by. My only complaint is that they closed the pools way too early. The manager said it was because folks party and wake up the other to book an Adults Only resort if you want a late night pool area. I loved how all the various hotels were connected by a meandering boardwalk.
