1) crazy sewer smell 24/7. A few years ago they said it was something temporary / island did some work or something on sewer plant. but it has been YEARS now and this is last time I'm dealing with this on vacation. Literary 24/7 including inside room as I guess the AC's pull air from outside 2) the rumble in the jungle / aka beach chair fight. you literary need to be 6am on beach to get any semi-normal beach chairs / cabanas. You want to sleep in till 8-9am you'll be 300 feet away from water and probably in the sun. The sad thing as well is that they RENT everything to outside people as well. So what folks do is pay $50/ night for crappy hotels ot airbnbs inside the island, and then in the mornings come to this great beach and rent Amsterdam Manor cabanas/tikis for $40. So at $90 total they are all set, while I am paying hundreds of $$$ per night at the Manor and then can't get beach spots because of these folks. what a great business idea.. so, since I don't want to set up alarm clock on my short vacation, and I don't want to eat 3 times a day in sewer fumes I am done with this place, thanks guys

This was our first visit to Aruba. The Amsterdam Manor turned out to be a fabulous choice for us! The location, directly next to the beach, was a huge positive. There were always lounge chairs available and the beach was not crowded. Passions, the restaurant on the beach, was also wonderful. We had an incredible waitress named Lilli there who waited on us twice. There's nothing like having your toes in the sand while enjoying a refreshing drink and delicious meal! We also ate at Horizons, the bar and restaurant on the second level above the pool. It is a great spot at sunset. The bartender and both servers we had were fabulous! Our room was spacious and very clean. Lissette, on the housekeeping staff, was gracious to help us out when our coffee maker wasn't working. The entire staff is very helpful and positive. When we return to Aruba, we will definitely stay at the Amsterdam Manor again. It was wonderful!

Just a Wow. Since we arrived intil we departed they staff was always taking care of any detail for minimum or smallest it'll be. We visit otjer hotels during our wtay but neither was as well located, convinience, affordable and noce as The Amsterdam Manor Aruba

Hotel was wonderful. Best location in Aruba. Across the street from Eagle beach and walkable to Palm beach. Staff was very helpful with getting cabs and renting a UTV. Passions restaurant on the beach at sunset was amazing!

The sewage smell from the wastewater treatment plant was awful on our last day there. The entire beach smelled. Also, the bartenders at Passions seem really burned out. No smiles and not friendly. I think they work them too hard.

Location location location

Directly across the street from one of the best beaches in the world - Eagle beach. The hotel is impeccably well maintained and clean. Staff could not be friendlier. The neighborhood is walkable and quiet compared to Palm Beach high rise area. There is a pool and bar but both are very small. No bar service at the pool but there is a huge grocery store within walking distance. The restaurant across the street, Passions, serves a great dinner although they’re a bit unorganized for seating at breakfast and lunch. There’s a hostess stand but it’s not used during the day. A “seat yourself” sign would be helpful as people que up at the vacant stand. During our stay there was an intermittent sewage smell in the air - probably from nearby construction. The same odor was noticed occasionally further down the street as well.
