Quick trip

Checked in super late but staff was amazing. Stayed here a month prior when the hotel was full and it was nice then and even better when not fully booked. Was just a quick girls trip and needed somewhere close to the Horizon Event Center in Clive.

The property was in a nice area and the room was a decent size. Beds were fine and the free breakfast was very good. I felt the pet fee was pretty high compared to other hotels.

The digital AC controll system did not work properly in the second room, but the manager, i think his name was Mike. Was very helpful and accomidating when we voiced concern about this. He fixed the issue promptly and we had an excelent rest if our visit.

Nice hotel........minor complications

We got checked in quickly, but when we got to our room the key cards wouldn't open the door! So we had to go down and get them prepared again. (The gal at the desk tried to blame me for getting them too close to my phone......I know better than that!!). So they got us into the room and we got settled. Nice room. Great bathroom. We went to supper and when we returned, once again our room would not open. (I keep hotel key cards in my wallet. Well away from my phone.) Fortunately a hard working housekeeper was vacuuming in our hallway and let us in without having to go all the way to the front desk. All in all was a decent hotel, but the key issue was frustrating to say the least!
