While the home itself is designed to be comfortable and relaxing, it is an original home with character, including wood floors that may creak from time to time. The surrounding neighborhood can also be active. On some weekends there may be vehicle activity nearby, and during summer months neighborhood fireworks can occasionally be heard. If you’re a very light sleeper or are specifically seeking a completely quiet getaway, we want to set expectations in advance.

This home does not have traditional refrigerated or central air conditioning. Instead, it features an evaporative cooler and a whole-house fan, both of which are ideal for Colorado’s dry climate and designed to maintain a comfortable environment during your stay. To maximize cooling, we recommend keeping the blinds closed during the hottest parts of the day and opening windows in the evening to create a refreshing cross breeze.
