The check-in staff was very incompetent or is running a scam on customers. They charged my card for two nights, with two deposits and random charges of $19.50, and $12. I used Expedia to prepay my reservation for a one night stay. When I call no one seems to get back to me or refund the extra charges. Very strange behavior for a hotel.

I got there a little early after driving there from six hours away. Was told that I could not check in until 3. So we went and had a late lunch then went back to check in at 4:30 and was told I could not check in because they gave my room away and I would either have to down grade to a different room or wait for another room to be cleaned. House keeping wasn't very helpful. We asked for extra clean face towels and was only given bath towels. When receiving the extra towels we asked the housekeeper to take the dirty towels and she just turned around and walked away. Breakfast area doesn't offer very many sitting spots so we had to sit on a sofa with our plate in our laps to eat.

We had an extreme weather situation on our day of arrival so I called the front desk to explore options. The front desk manager was very rude and did not show any empathy. The breakfast had minimal options too. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and we did not face any issues. However if the staff is not friendly, it makes it hard to chose that hotel again!
