"This place should be called uncomfortable inn. I am disappointed. The rooms smelled like mold. You have to bring your dirty towels downstairs to reception area to be able to get clean towels. I asked for the room to be cleaned and they didn’t clean it. The phone was broken as well. Just a bad experience."

"The beach itself, is nice. In the future I will spend my money at a different hotel. There was a bloody pair of underwear left in my room from the previous people I assume. Either way, it was not cleaned up. The hotels answer to this was to just me to another room 3 floors up which was not convenient. Nothing else was done. It needs updating majorly and cleaned. The cleaning staff allows all the doors to just slam behind them every morning when they clean. It’s very rude and unprofessional. I asked them several times to not do that. I stayed for a week so every day my son and I got to listen to doors slam continuously throughout the morning and afternoon. Definitely not staying there again. But most of the staff was nice at least."

"As someone who typically chooses Hilton properties and has always had positive experiences, I was extremely disappointed with this stay. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, there was a dog barking almost constantly. We notified the hotel, but nothing was ever done to address the issue. If I wanted to listen to a dog bark throughout my entire stay, I would have simply brought my own dog with me. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. We discovered old blood stains on one of the comforters in our room and had to wait an excessive amount of time for replacements to be brought up. Then, the day before checkout, we found additional blood stains—this time on the actual bed sheets. At that point, we were so frustrated with the slow response times and lack of urgency that we simply removed the sheets ourselves and didn’t bother reporting it. The shower was another disappointment. The water pressure was practically nonexistent, making even a simple shower frustrating and unpleasant. Cleanliness, comfort, and responsiveness should be top priorities for any hotel, especially one carrying the Hilton name. This stay fell far below the standards I’ve come to expect from the brand. This is the first truly negative experience I’ve had with Hilton, which makes this all the more disappointing. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements for future guests."

"Effie……This property is absolutely beautiful. So clean and so much entertainment at night in the lobby. We ate a decent priced breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. The rooftop pool was amazing. We got up to the pool at 10am to claim a couple chairs because it’s not huge. Food and drinks opens up at 11am. Tuna nachos were 10/10! It is its own little world at this resort. It’s huge and they shuttle you around to different areas. It’s incredible and it’s just a couple minutes from the beach on the shuttle. And the side doors to this hotel actually drop you right into the cute little area of Baytown Wharf. We will be back. This was a wonderful stay and sooooo family friendly."
