It was beautiful and the beach was nice. I agree with other’s reviews about the hidden fees. I had no idea I’d be charged $15 a day to park my car there and $29 a day for a resort fee on top of everything else I already paid daily. It was nice restaurants were walking distance, the rooms were nice and clean, and there were activities nightly.

This is the 2nd year in a row that my wife and I came to the Island almost the same week as last year. We stayed June 15th through the 22nd 2024. We really like This place a lot . Staff is great, food is good especially the breakfast buffet. We stayed in the beach house with gulf view and it’s amazing. We loved sitting out on the balcony and looking at the beach and sea. We asked for gulf view room and the resort didn’t let us down for the 2nd time. Great service, friendly staff and maintenance staff. The pool area is amazing but we are beach people. What we didn’t like are the mattresses on the beds aren’t comfortable and need to be replaced. For the 2nd year my wife and I struggled with minor back pain sleeping on these for six nights so please get a better mattress on these beds. Also in the room there is no wardrobe. There is a wall mounted board with chrome pegs that use a metal hanger that hooks on the pegs and there were only four hangers for both of us which wasn’t enough so we had to keep some of our good shirts and stuff in our suit cases. Along with some cubbies to put your clothes in. Also the bathroom shower had this weird half partition glass panel and the other half was open so shower water went out on the floor. Very strange set up. The exhaust fan didn’t work or do a very good job. The PTAC unit in the room was loud but that’s Amana for you. It maybe going out. Parking is horrible!! Anyway overall we had a fabulous time. No place is perfect.

There was absolutely no storage in the rooms, couldn't hang any clothes out of the suitcase. The pool with the swim up bar should be adults only. Beach was beautiful and well kept.

Beaches were beautiful, but the property was under construction and very disruptive, drilling The floors right above our room construction workers walking all over the place drilling all hours of the day and on the weekends. food was below average. Weight staff and room keeping staff staff were very polite. Property was very dated. Would not recommend this property to anyone.

Location is excellent. It has an easy access to the beachfront where one of their bars is located. Perfect place to view the sunrise and sunset. It is a walkable distance to the Okaloosa Island Boardwalk and the Pier. There is a swim-up bar as well. There is a daily resort and parking fee. Staff are professional and kind. Be mindful, there is ongoing construction at the beachfront so it will be quite noisy but not a deal breaker. The only bummer was our beachfront room was not available because of the construction but they did book us a pool room (porch leads directly to the pool). It was a good-sized room with a fridge, coffee maker, and a microwave. We had a wonderful stay and would like to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful beach, solid hotel!
The Island is hard to beat for a stay on Okaloosa Island. Its location is ideal for a stay at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It has solid rooms, but the beaches and pool push it to a pretty high level. However, do not use Hotels.com to book. The final price is higher than what they quote.
