Fifteen minutes after checking out, while we were driving to the airport, I realized that I had left something in the room. We immediately called the front desk, described the items, where they were left and asked them to check the room so we could have a chance to retrieve them. We received no response and called back later that day, when they stated they found nothing.

The staff was not helpful after booking a room to sleep for people and only receiving a room to accommodate two people! The initial staff did not care to help at all and told me in so many words I was lucky I didn’t have to pay for the cot they gave us!

Disappointing and distrustful

A lot of noise through out hotel due to a lot of kids running through the halls all night long. Forgot phone charger in room came back to get it with in an hour but it was gone. Cleaners said they never saw it there. It wasn’t in my bag or on my person. So where did it go? Won’t be staying here again... Had a beer in bar it tasted very skunky...

Comfort in a cute town.

Pros: Cleanliness of facility, friendliness of staff.
Cons: see write about your experience.
Location: Downtown Main Street : picturesque bridge has often been pointed and photographed for good reason. Lovely shops and nice restaurants.
The facility is well maintained and has a beautiful patio permitting outdoor eating nice weather. Staff courteous but checkin could have been faster.

Manager & Staff Amazing During Storm & Hotel Booked Solid

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: hot tub not always working
Manager, Ash, and his staff really went out of their way to help us. I made a mistake with my booking and their hotel was booked solid during the horrible snowstorm on Oct 29. 2mill ppl without power and everyone wanting a hotel. Left my name and didn't expect a return call but Ash gave me a call late at night and saved the day for me and our family. We stay here often. For the price you really cant complain. You get so much for this price. Pool is always clean and we have been enjoying it for more than six years now. It is not the Hilton. It is a convenient, close, small town hotel. Staff have always been pleasant and helpful. Food is good. Rooms are basic and yes they need updated but basic and low prices are just fine with me. The large Bathrooms have been updated - they are nice! If you have a problem being firm but pleasant goes a long way. You have to evaluate a place based upon the price and what they offer. There isn't another hotel within 30 miles that offers what the Clinton Holiday Inn Select does for the price! Thank you again to the great staff!

Very disappointed and dissatisfied

Cons: Noisy, Poor breakfast
I'm sorry to say the room, hotel public areas, and the pool were not clean. Dead birds outside the windows when waiting for the elevator. The bar covercharge is not included in the excessive room fee, which is unrealistic to enjoy a cocktail during your stay. The pool area had cob webs, corners, tables, and chairs that didn't look like they were cleaned in months. I would not recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone. LT (Washington, NJ).
