the check in process is the most complicated I’ve ever experienced. It started with having to send photos of myself and my id… followed by no visible number on the property, and then being sent a YouTube video after driving around the block in circles in my uber…. Watching a YouTube video while pulling two suitcases and my small dog to find that the key is inside another box followed by two more doors to get in… that’s when see the incredibly steep and narrow staircase. Three stories with two suitcases and a dog… kids screaming in the hallway…. Families whose voices could be heard like they were in the hallway with me. After climbing the stairs TWICE, standing in front of the door, paint peeling off the walls… plaster missing chunks on the walls, I open the door to be struck with the most horrendous odor. A mix of dog urine and harsh chemicals that were obviously used to try to cover it up. I was so disgusted by this time, out of breath and infuriated. I immediately got ahold of the host. AGAIN. I told her what I had just experienced. I told her no way I was going to stay there. I am still waiting to get my money back. This place should come with warnings for all the above issues. It needs major repairs. Plaster is broken on the windowsills and there are stains on the walls, the floorboards are disgusting. And the smell. I am absolutely sickened. This place cost me over $500 and I am still waiting to hear from the host to make things right. UNACCEPTABLE!
