Flight Review

Mar 12, 2020

American should provide masks to passengers who are coughing or appear ill.

Mar 8, 2020

I paid for upgrade to comfort plus and but the seat change was not in the comfort plus area. Staff did move me onboard

Mar 5, 2020

Please have your gluten free choices for snacks for ALL flights. You have them; serve them on every flight. Please don’t discriminate against those with gluten allergies. We fly short flights too!!

Feb 28, 2020

The seats are too close together and do not give enough legroom. I've grown to expect this but it's still an unfortunate circumstance of flying especially for people 5'11 and over.

Feb 25, 2020

My companion was a huge man who could not fit with the armrest down between us, so he spilled onto my side, crushing me against the window.

Dec 8, 2019

Shouldn’t allow people to recline seats. Very inconsiderate to give less leg room than already there

Nov 27, 2019

Its tight. Glad im skinny. Please don't squeeze any more passengers in future planes. I do LOVE how one-time and efficient Delta is. Much better than American airlines.

Nov 24, 2019

I am tall, seats too close, no room for long legs.

Aug 26, 2019

I do not like the policy of not assigning seats until after check-in.

Aug 25, 2019

Don’t care for bus ride to plane. Hope that’s a temporary thing

Sep 12, 2018

I normally take the Chicago-Beijing itinerary and the service is just terrible. The flight attendants are rude to everyone who looks Chinese, until they find out you speak English. But our return trip was Shanghai-LA and the flight attendants were lovely and helpful and everything you’d expect. Obviously United schedules their best crew for that itinerary. I don’t use United International unless I can’t get any other flight, but this LA trip may change my mind that they’re not all bad. Kudos to the that flight team.

Aug 22, 2018

Although our flight ended up being cancelled due to weather, the pilot and crew were outstanding. The inside staff, however, left much to be desired, rudely receiving those of us disembarking who could easily have been told what to do to arrange for another flight. Instead, the woman rudely told us, "We don't know what flight you were on or where you were going - keep moving!" Unfortunately, I didn't get her name.

How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Lansing

If you like the thought of spending more time at the airport bars and restaurants and less time wading through security on your way to Lansing, follow these practical tips:

  • Keep your travel ID and boarding pass easily accessible. They'll be the first things you'll be instructed to produce by airport security staff.
  • Be aware that metal belt buckles can set off the body scanner's alarms. If you have one on, you may be asked to step back and remove it before continuing.
  • Electronic items such as laptops, phones and cameras are always sent through the X-ray machine separately. Be sure you can get to them quickly.
  • When you get to the security checkpoint, you'll be asked to put all creams, gels and liquids in a separate bin for scanning. Make sure they're all stored in containers smaller than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and sealed in a clear zip-lock bag.
  • Steel-cap footwear and other bulky shoes are likely to be X-rayed by security personnel. Think about wearing lightweight sneakers instead.
  • The list of prohibited items is forever updating. Browse your airline's official website for what is not allowed on board their aircraft.
