Boston Omni Parker House Hotel

"Omni Parker Hotel"
The rooms are dated and could use an extra electrical outlet in the room. Otherwise, very clean and comfortable room and beds. The hotel staff were excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel is very close to the Freedom Trail, Boston Common and subway entrance. The food at the hotel was excellent. A Walgreen's is down the street for any incidentals you may need/want. A lot of choices for food within close vicinity of the hotel. Enjoyed my stay very much.

"Slick hotel in the center of everything. "
Comfy beds, updated bathrooms, and pleasant staff. After hours room service was lacking, however. The location is perfect -- and I say this as a former Bostonian who knows what she is talking about.

"Ames Hotel"
A good location, near many historical sites. Also many places to eat. The breakfast nook in the hotel was closed so they gave $10. debit cards per person for a very local restaurant. The only drawbacks were, this hotel is built over the AmTrack so you feel the trains during the day, but NOT at night, also, it seems this Hotel is on a main route to the hospital so it can get noise. Overall a good place to spend a night.

"Great location, wonderful amenities!"
The hotel was close to Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, and a number of great Boston restaurants. At this time of year, it was a wonderful opportunity to get some fantastic pictures of the holiday decorations. The facility itself was very chic and modern, with large, comfortable rooms.

"Wonderful historic hotel, impeccably maintained"
Gorgeous hotel, very clean, comfy beds, nice staff. Made good use of the refrigerator--we made a couple of treks to whole foods and kept it stocked. Subway stop is just across the street (only $2.65 from the airport. 15 min ride). Note: subways do not run 24 hours--we took a taxi back to Logan for our early morning flight--that put us out 20 bucks including tip. We highly recommend the Customs House--couldn't be happier.

Concord's Colonial Inn

"Completely charming, helpful staff"
I just spent one night at the Colonial Inn, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the atmosphere, which is enhanced by the period decor and by a rather ramshackle floor plan. The location in the middle of historic Concord was great, and the Inn is about a three minute drive to Walden Pond. My room was clean, comfortable, and I got an excellent night's sleep. The Internet service in the room wasn't super fast, but it worked just fine. While the restaurant smelled great and the bar looked very inviting, I didn't have the chance to try either. Most importantly, the staff was friendly and helpful. I had to ask for directions to drive into Boston and back, and by the time I finished asking, the woman at the front desk had already printed out Mapquest directions to my destination, and then explained them to me. I didn't get lost at all, so I was quite grateful. I would definitely stay there again, given the chance.
