4/10 Poor

The staff was very nice and hospitable. The location was great and the hotel lobby was neat and clean.
Everything else about the hotel was very poor. Outside of the lobby area, the hotel is old, rundown, and didn’t feel clean. My room felt old, rundown, and not at all like a room in a Hampton Inn. It was dark, the tub faucet dripped, the room felt dirty, the bathroom outlets didn’t hold the plug to my hairdryer like a normal outlet so kept slipping out, the towels were thin and almost seemed yellowed, there were paint smudges on the bathroom walls, the phone was dirty and sticky, and there was a weird smell in both the room and hallways of the hotel. My room keys became “demagnetized” each day that I was there and I had to go to the lobby to get them fixed. The hallways were gross and felt dirty. It was creepy to walk past hotel rooms with doors that were not completely shut - not sure why there were rooms with doors that were cracked open. There were several on the first floor that I had to walk past. They were like this for all three days that I stayed at this hotel.
This is a very old hotel that needs to be updated completely. It feels like false advertising to say that this is a Hampton Inn because, with the exception of the Lobby area, it felt and looked nothing like any other Hampton Inn that I have ever stayed in. I love Hampton Inn hotels, but I will never stay at this hotel again.
