The toilet was broken in the room when I arrived and the curtains were stained and covered in hair. The hotel restaurant was overpriced and had horrible service, and was extremely pricey. This hotel is very overpriced for what it is.

Staff was so so kind and friendly. Unfortunately, the rooms were a bit dirty. The place is nice but not high end. We did purchase a “city view” room but really could only see the building across which was being heavily renovated and a complete construction site so not exactly the view we were hoping for..

4 elevators, 3 down when we got there and then that one went out. We were on the 10th floor, so luckily it was working the next morning. No on site parking, valet only. Bathrooms have an odd layout and no privacy when sharing a room. The city view was a building directly across from us under construction so we kept the blinds shut since we could see people working over there. The staff were all VERY sweet and helpful.

Of the 4 Elevators only one was working, I had to wait in the lobby from 4pm until 6:15pm to get my room because the cleaning crew did not finish on time. The next day the room was partially clean, the bed was half made, dirty glasses still on the room, terrible! Lobby crew were trying to help the customers but were overwhelmed by the incompetence of the cleaning crew.

People were lovely. Only 1 of 4 elevators working for 15 floors. Difficult to get up and down ask for a low floor if booking this hotel. Not a ton of restaurants around the building. This corner of Downtown Birmingham is very noisy with street racing and revving of engines. There are much better choices in homewood.
