Even though I had made a reservation for a room, when I tried to check in I was told the hotel does not rent to locals and I was not given a room. They accepted my reservation but would not give me a room. They ruined my plans for the evening

The room I was in was good for the price paid compared to other Front Royal places I have stayed. Hard surface floors, not the best workman ship, lot of caulk used around shower, shower curtain rod was barely holding on, paint/caulk(?) stains in bath tub. The room was fairly clean. It was good for just me. I would stay here again.

people who appear to live at the hotel with their kids running around riding scooters and screaming, the adults were fighting, calling each other names and screaming obscenities at each other at all hours of the night. The staff was nice enough, the pool guy was a super nice guy, and the pool was clean and enjoyable, but that's the only thing we enjoyed. I felt unsafe and uneasy the entire time we were there with these people constantly fighting and carrying on. will not stay there again.

Beds and pillows were ok, and the bathroom fixtures appeared clean. Overall, thought, quite shabby. Latch and lock on bathroom door missing; cracked tile and missing grout in bathroom; peeling paint on walls; dirty woodwork. Certainly not what I expected of a Wyndham.

Great hotel for a motorcycle vacation

Cons: Slight musty smell in rooms upon arrival but cleared up after AC was on for a bit
Hotel was great to us. Let us park our bikes right out front under canopy. Staff was very helpful and gave us 10% off coupons for dinner at a place called Onions. Make sure you go there!

Good place!

Stayed on October 2, 2010. Room was clean and newly renovated. Front desk staff was very efficient and courteous. The breakfast was good. This place is across the street from the downtown of Front Royal. We walked to a great restaurant for dinner. We didn't have time to check out the other amenities, the pool was closed for the season. Would stay there again, a good place at a fair price. 5 minutes from the north gate of Skyline Drive too.
