The hotel is in a beautiful location with excellent views. Our room was amazing and clean. We had a beautiful view of the mountain. The massage I had there was amazing. Charlie did a great job. And the folks in spa services were very helpful and nice. A shout out to Richard in concierge services because he was very helpful. We found the rest of the service to be average and not super helpful. They were not very attentive. I asked the front desk to connect me with the spa services while I was upstairs at lunch and they would not do so. I wanted to make an appointment. I found it unusual and rude. They told me they don’t make appointments. I would have made my own appointment. I ended up calling spa services from my cell. It left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, the concierge services folks were aloof. Communication with the front desk and concierge were not up to par.i asked to confirm my transportation to the airport and instead of checking the information on my record they asked me lo pull up the email from my phone. I found it odd and perhaps a lazy way to do it. She also seemed like I was bothering her asking. With the service as it was I don’t know if I would go back to this hotel.

We were so disappointed at the impersonal nature of the service and the indifference of the staff, considering the $1100 price tag for our king bedroom per night. Nothing was special, huge tour parties moved in and out of the reception all day. There was no drinking water available in the room other than small room temperature cartons of water at $6 plus tax....I made a coffee using a capsule in the room next to the coffee machine and after we left found a charge for £3.03 on my card as a result! I would never return despite the beautiful landscape which surrounds. Staff were perfunctory in their communication - there was no feeling of warmth, personality or welcome at any stage.

Let me start off by saying, we DID enjoy our stay. You were given a bus pass at check in and they have a looping Rimrock bus as well. The view was not spectacular, but you also get what you pay for (from Expedia). The bus pass was nice, but the buses are so full, you end up standing for most of the ride, unless you get on a bus before the gondola really starts going (before 9:00). I wish the view was better, it was a premium room with Mountain View. It did have a Mountain View, but not so sure I would call is premium. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but for half the cost you could stay at a hotel that is downtown and easily accessible to downtown.

Great place to stay for Banff vacation. Gondola is walking distance. You can use public transit to visit the downtown and a few trails. The restaurant and the food was great!
