Friendliest Hotel I've Stayed At

Pros: Extremely friendly and inviting.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with big smiles and cheerful hellos. Check-in and check-out were the smoothest and quickest I've experienced but it didn't feel like I was being rushed. The individuals behind the counter held continuous conversation with us throughout the check-in process and informed us of all amenities offered. There is a restaurant on site but if you would like to venture out, restaurants and activities are within a few minutes car ride. Would definitely stay at this hotel, again.

Nice hotel, shuttle service and restaurant a must

Pros: The shuttle service to our venue, the bar had a good selection of craft beers and the rooms were clean
Cons: They can make sure rooms are ready when they are supposed to be
Location: We attended a concert and they shuttled the guest to the venue at Merriweather Post Pavillion.
Not happy are rooms were not cleaned by 3 pm and we had to wait till 3:30 to get our room. We had somewhere to go and needed to freshen up. Limited menu after 11 pm at the restaurant, I think they could have had a few more options. Staff was very friendly and apologetic.

I would stay here again

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: restaurant is pricey and doesn't offer many choice
After seeing the hotel on a few online booking sites, reading the reviews and learning they had recently renovated, I decided to book it. My GPS told me I had arrived before I saw the entrance, so I had to search a little bit and approached a couple of times before I went far enough to see the entrance. It is a little secluded and that was nice. I guess I expected a little more from the renovations, but the lobby was very attractive and the room was neat and clean. I found the bathroom (in my standard room) a little small but my 20 year old son and I managed. We stayed 2 nights (although with the activities we were attending, we didnt spend much time at the hotel). The restaurant was a little pricey and didn't have very many choices on the menu, but what we had was good. It wasn't a luxury hotel nor was it a budget hotel. It was a good/happy medium. I would stay again and I would recomment it. I loved the cookie. I wish they gave you a cookie as a nightly turn down service. That one cookie was a tease and just wasn't enough :)

Better than than the Ritz!

Pros: greta staff
The greatest staff! Better than than the Ritz. Seriously. Great staff. So welcoming, accomodating and just plain friendly. Definitely going back. Our room was top notch. Fitness room very clean. Compact but very clean. The pool was under repair. We loved this place.

Great staff................

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
The price was a little high, but the hotel more than made up for it with the staff.............. they were extremely friendly and helpful. We could not find a local place and they went out of their way to help. Well done.

Very Friendly Staff

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were quite pleasant. I was mostly impressed by the front desk staff. They were very friendly and helpful when we needed suggestions on places to eat and taxi/shuttle services. The only thing I do suggest is that they improve their breakfast buffet. There was not much to choose from for $14.95 per person. They also got very busy in the bar and restaurant on Saturday evening and they were not properly staffed. We waited a very long time to order and receive our check. The food was very good...try the calamari. I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I am in the Columbia, MD. area.

Need to work on cleanliness

We were put inro a handicap room so the bathroom and other amenities were not appropriate for our use (our family is tall). We contacted the front desk about this but due to a Red Sox game no other rooms were available.\n\nThe bed linens left alot to be desired: stained duvet cover and yellowed sheets. It was a good thing I noticed that as I was leaving becasue I certaily would have been disgusted had I noticed it earlier. \n\nThe air/fan in the room was not easily adjustable and I do not know if that was function of the system or the hotel has caps on temp controls.\n\nThe bright side was the food in the restaurant was good and the service was strong. Still, I'm not sure if I would stay here again...\n
