Rays of sunshine warm your body as you lounge in the soft, white sand. A few feet away, the turquoise water of the Indian Ocean is too attractive to ignore so you venture into its pristine waters and let it wash away any worries you brought with you. As you turn around and look at the green, jungle that creeps along the edge of the sand, you suddenly realize why Bali is called the Island of Gods. Maybe because only gods could’ve created a piece of land so majestic, so enchanting…

How many beaches are in Bali?
Seeing how this is an island and a decent sized one, there’s probably about a million beaches you could relax on. But we know you can’t sunbathe on all of them so we’ve narrowed it down to these few near our favorite Bali beach hotels:
- Kuta Beach: Located at the tip of Bali’s southern peninsula, this once sleepy fishing town has transformed into one of the most popular beachside communities in the country. Stretch out on a lounge chair and knock back a few Bintangs while the sun kisses your skin. If you feel like heading into town, there are all sorts of bars, restaurants, and shopping options to choose from.
- Candi Dasa: This eastern Bali beach is so beautiful that it looks like a painting. It’s also located directly in front of the Bali Palms Resort, so if you’re staying there, the farthest you’ll have to walk to get to the sand is probably from the breakfast table. There are all sorts of activities to take part in, like stand-up paddle boarding and snorkeling.
- Seminyak: South Bali is loaded with beaches that define the word paradise and this one might have even invented the word. Not only is it a picture perfect destination, but The Legian Bali is located on its sands. If you’re looking for one of our more luxurious Bali hotels on the beach, this one is it.
If you wanted to describe a more perfect place for a relaxing vacation, you’d be hard-pressed to think of one. Lucky for you, you’re not looking to go anywhere else, so book one of Travelocity’s best beach hotels in Bali and let the Island of the Gods take hold of you for the duration of the trip.
