Beautiful log cabin nestled in the Hiawatha National Forest located in The UP.

The 'Northern Exposure' lodge is a unique log cabin with logs hand scribed and shipped from British Columbia. White pine finishes off the interior of the cabin with yellow pine rustic furniture.
The loft has a sitting area to view the beautiful outdoors of the Upper Peninsula. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a sitting bar that is centered to enjoy the living room fireplace and picture windows.
The deck has a BBQ grill and sitting area with fire pit for those beautiful summer and fall day's to enjoy. There is also a fire pit that sits directly in front of the cabin.
The cabin is located in the heart of the Upper Peninsula's #1 summer recreational area. With Autrain River and Lake just walking distance from the cabin. Lake Superior is less then one mile down the road. There are numerous hiking trails in the area.

Great long weekend stay
We booked this location for four adults and one child for a long weekend getaway. The booking process was very easy. Upon arrival, we found the cabin to be very clean and well maintained. The cabin was a perfect size for our group. We were happy with all aspects of the rental. The cabin has numerous DVD's, board games, cards, TV and internet to keep everyone busy. The kitchen had everything that was needed to make a quick snack to a full dinner. We also liked the location, as it was central to all of the day trips we were making. We will book here again!

Special Place
We have already booked our stay for next year! This cabin is in the perfect location for hiking, seeing waterfalls, experiencing microbreweries, trying local foods, feeling one with nature. The cabin has everything we need to be comfortable and is always impeccably clean. We have found the owner to be very responsive. We always feel so free being here with nature, the beautiful colors, and being so close to Lake superior and the Au Train river where we kayak.
