Hotel is just outside of town which I prefer. It was quiet and easy to get to. The location is hotel and convenience store in one. My daughter loved walking down the hall to buy snacks to watch TV in the evening.

We were pleasantly surprised on how clean and kept up the lodge was. The Staff was very helpful and attentive. The room was larger than most standard rooms. The shower was hot and hot tub was well maintained. We would stay there again!

The room and building were clean enough. Some staff were friendlier than others, depending on shifts. One thing, we had a refrigerator with an iced over freezer (fortunately we had a flat icepack which fit in the available opening, but snugly), which they wouldn't do anything about when we brought it to their attention. Also, not the best breakfast bar -- no hot foods, no yogurt. No housekeeping service for guests staying more than 1 night. The weird thing is that when they cleaned the rooms, they left doors open with bedding all over the furniture.

We enjoyed our visit overall. The hotel was dated but still in good shape. Inside was clean and the convenience store attached was a plus. The outside could be better maintained as far as mowing and keeping the weeds trimmed around the building and picnic table

Please don't be put off by the appearance of the lobby or check-in area. It's adjoins the gas station/convenience store. The helpful staff offering great recommendations and directions for local eateries and activities in town were a real plus in staying at this quiet, well maintained hotel. The breakfast was perfectly adequate, the beds were good. Highly recommended for the two-night stay while visiting Pictured Rocks National Seashore.

This was a good value with comfortable beds, nice linens and Dove products. The large hot tub was fantastic and open until 11pm! No pool though. The free breakfast is basic but decent. The steakhouse across the street is fabulous (no alcohol though). You may wait a bit for the food, but it’s worth it! The casino next door is very basic with a limited menu and restaurant closes early.

The property is attached to a convenience store. This made it easy to get snacks/supper to warm up in the microwave in our room. There was a small refrigerator in our room. It was cold. So nice!
