Bear Cabin is a 5 bedroom 3.5 bath home that sleeps 16-- perfect for multiple families or large groups.  This home boasts three different levels of decks and 360 feet of frontage.  
Located on large park-like setting on the peaceful Crooked River known as "Devil's Elbow" in Alanson, Michigan, the cabin allows you to enjoy your own private dock where you have easy water access. This inland waterway affords the opportunity to enjoy nearby Burt and Crooked Lake, Indian River or even travel all the way to Lake Huron!

Bear Cabin is minutes away from neighboring towns like Petoskey and Harbor Springs.  Wineries, shopping and dining destinations are only a short drive away.  The top Midwest skiing destinations of Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob are a short 20 minute drive.

The best Vrbo property! Highly recommend
Bear cabin was the best Vrbo property I’ve ever stayed at. The cabin is located on a beautiful piece of property directly on the crooked river. Close to nubs knob the highlands, downtown harbor springs and petoskey. The house was stocked with everything you will need for a trip up north. The perfect layout for a family or friend reunion. The property manager/owner is very responsive to messages. If you’re looking for an up north cabin look no further the bear cabin is the best one out there

Extended Family Getaway
It was a great "staycation" where we could hang out, play yard games, go fishing, have fires and grill out. We brought our own fishing boat and rented a pontoon to go out to enjoy Burt, Mullet, and Crooked Lakes. This rental was very clean and well kept. The only thing that needs attention was the front step railing to the porch which need to be reinforced. Otherwise, the property managers were very responsive to questions and needs. No issues, great rental, I would definitely recommend this property to others.

One of the best houses on the Inland Waterway
This property has it all. It is immaculate, large, and beautifully designed. Plenty of space for all guests both inside and out. Do not hesitate to book this house!

Perfect Fit
We had a phenomenal time at Bear Cabin. It had everything we needed. The basement bedroom for the kids was a blast. We were able to leave our fishing boat tied to the dock (very nice dock). The kids caught some fish right from the dock. The oweners were very responsive and friendly. The house is very clean with nice linens/sheets/bedding. They thoughtfully put an extra A/C unit in the top floor which made it very comfortable. The decks were beautiful to sit on. The hot tub was cleand and fun. The yard was great for badminton and yard games. We had several evening fires and S'mores. It was so nice to have a couple of kayaks to use. This really was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. It is close enought to Petoskey and Alanson to get groceries. It is as good as advertised, wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Ski weekend
Your beautiful log cabin home was the perfect setting for a winter weekend with friends. We enjoyed watching the swans on the river each morning and looked forward to the hot tub after long days of skiing. Our favorite times were playing cards and watching TV next to your gorgeous stone fireplace.
