Staff was so friendly when we arrived and very helpful. The property is beautiful and well groomed, even in a season when things are closing down for winter. The room is lovely, comfy for relaxing, and a great view of the Straits. We'll be back!

Excellent stay at the Best Western St Ignace. Juvaun (Apologies if I spelt your name wrong) and the rest of the staff on reception and at the hotel were great. The rooms are clean and quiet and Tisha did an amazing job with housekeeping. Great location in the beautiful St Ignace

Worst hotel room I have stayed in for years! Walls painted brown, the color of mud! Old fashioned bedding and decor, felt like I was in a room from the70s. TV remote did not work properly. We originally booked 3 nites but only spent one there, moved to a different hotel. The breakfast was okay, the guy who shuttled you up the hill for breakfast was very personable and the people at the desk were friendly, but had no idea how to fix the remote problem. Said no maintenance person on grounds after 5 pm. Definitely will not book BW again!

Breakfast was good. Great selection from eggs, biscuits, bacon and waffles. Would have been nice to have Cranberry Juice and the only milk we found was skim. The staff was very helpful, and being able to buy tickets for the ferry and shuttle service was a great perk. Would definitely stay there again.

Unkempt

Front desk lady was wonderful, sweet, and responsive. However, the hotel smelled pretty awful - mixture of weed and uncleanliness. Lakefront view was not worth extra price, as its beach area was rocky & unkempt. Our first trip in 7 years (for our 10 yr anniversary) and my husband wasn’t even able to shower due to the shower not draining. There was a lever that had been left up prior to our arrival that we fiddled with to try to fix the issue, but it still did not drain. Maintenance came the next morning before 8am and woke us up knocking on the door followed by a phone call when we didn’t get up that was even more jarring. (My husband was particularly upset, as we have not been able to sleep in for years, as this was our first time away from our kids.) Manager refused to do anything about situation since she had “sent maintenance” and the issue had been “resolved” right before we left. Breakfast was also mostly over processed & tasted quite terrible. We saw workers touching their faces with their gloved hands and even touched their used water bottle to the spout everyone uses to get water. Everything about the place felt uncleanly / unkempt including the bed linen we slept on.

We stayed in the single cabin type accommodations just a few feet from the beach. A beautiful setting with a large outdoor seating area around the fire pit, which is set by hotel staff each night. Great place for families.
