Terrible, smelled like they tried to cover up the smell of mold with a whole bottle of perfume. The staff was rude and told us to start our own bonfire. The pool and hot tub are in a separate building from the rooms. It’s October in Michigan that’s a huge no thank you. We left and had to find another room on the fly. I bought the insurance cause site unseen of course and now I feel like it’s gonna be a hassle to get my money back. I will be calling my credit card company and having the charge removed as we could not stay and the staff didn’t care at all.

Needs some basic upgrading, however the jacuzzi room was very nice, Jamaican lady at the front desk was absolutely amazing. The only real negative review I have is housekeeping staff, she knocked on our door at 10 AM even though checkout isn’t until 11 AM and we had the do not disturb sign hanging on the door.

Hot breakfast was very good and the lobby was remodeled since our last stay there. However, the pool was "out of order" when it was full of water and looked to be functioning. The hot tub was very nice, perfect for our foursome, but there didn't seem to be any reason the pool was not accessible other than maybe they didn't want to bother having to maintain cleaning it. when i stayed there 2 years ago, it was also "not available". they advertise a pool but it is never open. the rooms are older, but clean, and the fire pits are a very nice touch. If they can get that pool open, i would stay here again.

The hotel itself was mediocre at best. I was never informed that the pool was out of order indefinitely. The pool was 1 thing that drew my family there. The floors were filthy and we had to change rooms because the 1st one smelled like mold and mildew

Our thing is the beds were not the best and the smell. They need to rip out the carpet and go in with Lino. Change the light bulbs to a brighter color, this worked for 1960 but not today. Pillows are like no support, flat right to the bottom. Price was great but not sure I would stay again.

The jacuzzi tub was great after a long weekend and very relaxing. The bed was not the comfiest I’ve ever slept on but had such a great stay that it was not even a big deal! Had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay here again 👌

The property could use some updating - we stayed in the pines and the door’s deadbolt wouldn’t lock, there was a musty odor upon arrival, and the room could have been cleaner - we did find wrappers and dirt behind the nightstand. Overall we felt safe enough - just wasn’t at the 100% mark.

Disappointing

The room was dark & dingy, faced a corridor. The breakfast was ok but not enough tables for the number of guests. The outside door near our room had no dampner on it so it made a lot of noise when people went in & out, this went on throughout our stay despite our complaint. Didn’t enjoy the stay it was just somewhere to put our heads whilst passing through for 2 days. Wouldn't stay again.

Loved my stay here. Comfortable, quiet room with a balcony view. Hot tub was just what I needed after a long day of driving up from Interlochen. Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was great and loved how rustic yet comfortable the lodge was.

This hotel was picked because it was pet friendly. When we got there, the young lady at check in was so nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was a great introduction! Then our room was in a great location and there was a very convenient green space for dog walking. My sister and I enjoyed our coffee and bagel for breakfast. Wonderful start to our day.
