Terrible, smelled like they tried to cover up the smell of mold with a whole bottle of perfume. The staff was rude and told us to start our own bonfire. The pool and hot tub are in a separate building from the rooms. It’s October in Michigan that’s a huge no thank you. We left and had to find another room on the fly. I bought the insurance cause site unseen of course and now I feel like it’s gonna be a hassle to get my money back. I will be calling my credit card company and having the charge removed as we could not stay and the staff didn’t care at all.

Very nice place to stay - especially with a dog! Motel style but well lit, nice, safe parking lots. Beautiful rustic office and breakfast area. Clean. Only reason 4 stars for condition is our king size bed mattress was very springy and lumpy (but that didn’t stop us from sleeping). Shepley shuttle picks up for the Mackinac ferry. Good hot breakfast, coffee all day. Staff is very pleasant and helpful even when tired travelers ask the same question twice. 🙂

Older property but comfortable place to stay. Patio door slid hard but wasn’t a problem. Could use some more outlets for charging phones etc. Really enjoyed the open space and view from our patio. Lovely place to sit and relax after a day at Mackinac Island. Complimentary transportation to & from the ferry was a nice bonus feature.

Older property but in good shape. Needs some repairs. Breakfast was ok. Coffee maker in room could not be used. We were there when the weather was colder than normal, room had no heat.

Sub par hotel at best. Beds were not comfortable. TV was difficult to change the channels or navigate the guide. The hot tub only fits 6 and that’s of you’re real friendly with each other, my family of 3 sat in there comfortably but not much room to add more people without being on top of each other and touching. It was good for the price. We’ve stayed here before and enjoyed it but I think we’ll likely stay at a different hotel in the future.

Check in was good. Ended up in a room near the highway outside the regular building. Traffic was loud all night. Hot tub water was YELLOW and smelled so strong of chemicals that I didn't dare go in it. My nose was burning sitting near it for just a few minutes. Coffee doors were shut at 6am no one around so I awkwardly let myself in the dark breakfast room for a cup of coffee. I booked the room based on photos of the green space with flower beds and patios. I would not stay again.

This older motel that's been nicely cared for was a good value and we would definitely book it again. They even had a nice breakfast with eggs and sausage. Being able to have free shuttle service from Shepler's Ferry was a bonus! I only wish we had known we could get discounted tickets at the motel. We had a balcony, but would get ground level next time. We could barely see the lake through the town view and a dog walked back and forth on the balcony. No need to climb stairs next time just for a higher non-view. We enjoyed our time here.

The property is expansive - 5 or more buildings plus a couple of cabins. It is in need of a renovation, in my opinion. I wish there were screens on the windows and windows that opened to help air out tge room. It is quite a trek to the office if you need something for your room, like linens, and there is no guarantee "housekeeping is still open." It was fine for what we needed, but we wouldn't return.

Our stay here was very nice for the price. Good location near downtown St. Ignace. Easy parking and a real nice full breakfast. We arrived late and could smell the campfire they had going in the yard. Nice touch. Spotless clean room with comfy beds if a bit outdated. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms smelled musty, carpet was wet, black bugs in the room. Had to clean the air conditioner vents they were filthy. Bought Fabreze to spray around to help with the odors. Bed not the best. Very disappointed

This was a lovely and affordable place to stay. There are nicer places, but none are really better. It is a bit dated but still comfortable. I would not hesitate to go back again!

We had a great stay. Expedia did the booking. With that said, the staff was very kind in allowing our service dog, even though they don't really accept pets per Expedia`s recommendations that they do. Front desk was very polite & helpful. The property is spread across several parcels of land which made us feel disconnected from using the pool, getting breakfast, and getting a fresh cup of coffee. Because it was raining and didn’t feel like driving to find a spot closer to the office we had to run with our bathing suits on across a price of property that said private residence. The pool and hot tub were nice but then had to run back to our rooms again in our bathing suits. The recommendation for dinner was great but service was very slow!
