Room smelled of mildew. A lot of cobwebs and dead bugs in light fixtures. Bathroom was in need of updating and the grout on the tiled jacuzzi tub needs to be redone. No microwave in the room and mini fridge did not work properly. Staff was friendly during check-in and check out, bed was comfortable.

Be aware that the “cabins of Mackinaw” are not all Cabins! You may end up overpaying for a tiny hotel/motel room that is hidden behind the (admittedly nice looking) Cabins in the front of the property. I even double checked the photos shown on Expedia and the only pic representative of our booked room was labeled as a “bedroom” which would otherwise come across like it’s part of one of the cabins - in the room, all of the 3 pieces of furniture were either damaged or non functioning, the nightstand for example must have been broken and was resting on the floor with the French cleat it used to be left on still bolted to the wall, then of course there were the lamps that didn’t work and the overall dirty condition of the room! The skirt of the bed wasn’t even pulled down over the ancient mattress, having worked in a hotel for 2 years I can understand some mistakes and general laziness but this is easily the worst room I’ve ever stayed in despite being in a price point of some very nice rooms that I have experienced. Do not stay here

The front desk service was a little rude and when checking in we thought we rented cabins offline and it was not the cabins so online when ordering room service this it is misled and also we need to fix things in the water park things are broken and staff does not fix them for you

The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel was outdated and a little ran down. The water park was a nice addition, but the water was cloudy and the abundance of chemicals burned our eyes. We stayed in the hotel section, so maybe the cabins were better.

Bathtub drain, stand in ankle, deep water when showering , spiderwebs and spiders in the corners of room, front window leak , water dripping on window sill on inside of room when raining , had to put hotel towels on window sill to help keep it dry for Ptact unit below window, large puddle in the middle of parking lot when driving in or out , 12-16” deep as no drain in that area

I liked the privacy of the cabins. The cabin could use to be cleaned better - not just in the main walking area - corners are dirty, furniture is dusty. There really needs to be a shelf in the shower to hold the soap and shampoo. At checkin the employee was very helpful with info on the area.

Bathroom needs work

Great area for shopping & dining! Priced well. The room (we weren't in the cabins) seemed very clean - not so much as a dust bunny anywhere! The bathroom... definitely not up to par! There was a very strong urine smell & the vent/fan was broken. The room was cute as can be and really spacious. Beds were VERY comfortable! Adding a microwave would be nice. Our only complaint was the strong odor in the bathroom.

Want to return and stay in the cabin style accommodation! We were in the 2 story hotel building at the back of the property. It was nice enough, clean, good water, and sink separate from the shower / toilet which helps with 4 people in the room! Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating.

The web page is misleading, it shows the cabins but not the other rooms. We booked the room(cabin) as we thought this was all that was rented. Upon arrival we were told we did not reserve the cabin but a LODGE ROOM which was not outlined as there were no room selection phase of the reservation. For the cost spent for the room for two nights ( 442.00) we were put in a room "lodge" that looked like a cheap MOTEL 6 and had spider webs hanging from the walls and ceiling along with un swept floors with a great deal of built up dust throughout along with broken hand rails and moss growing the entire room walkways. If i wanted to stay at a motel 6, i would have done just that and saved a lot of money!.. very disappointed in my experiance and would NOT recommend.

Housekeeping needs improvement. They did not change light bulbs, everything was extremely Dusty, and things were not supplied. The housekeeping department did not clean well, as if they didn't care. I was a housekeeping manager, and I would have never let that room get rented in the condition it was. Whoever checked after housekeeping should have corrected it before releasing it to the guest. I was disgusted.

The pictures shown when I booked a room for two nights were not pictures of this facility. We were issued room in a separate building with old dirty carpet, old worn out beds, no trash can in the bathroom, black mold growing on the door frame in the bathroom and the TV had to be hooked up when we got there! We paid over $200 per night and this room was not even worth $50! False advertising at it's best!
