I contacted corporate with my concerns and was offered a certificate for a future stay. unfortunately we live in Louisiana and this was a one time experience to see some snow. the certificate was useless but when i tried to explain that i needed another form of reimbursement i was told no. the reason was and i quote " room service(meaning collecting trash and towels )was not a separate paid service" Last I checked collecting wet towels from rooms and replacing them was included in ANY hotel stay. We had essentially collected 4 days worth of towels for 5 people and accumulated as much trash, not including the trash that was there already.(we had a kitchenette so take into consideration food waste) we had the opportunity to speak with the front desk one time, otherwise it was closed and we had to use the hotel down the road for services.There were wires hanging from the ceiling where a smoke alarm was meant to be, a cigarette butt under our fitted sheet, we found that on night 3 when the sheet popped off the mattress. broken dresser, broken hairdryer. we were moved to a different room on our last night and same story, smoke alarm missing, tv in the back room didn't work. A pair of socks were in the bed, we returned those to housekeeping. The lights in the back didn't work. There was building supplies left out on the second floor dining as well. sauna didn't work. pool was great. Maintenance Man 100%customer service was not great. we deserved a little compensation for all that.
