Excellent weekend stay . We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The location was perfect and the views from the property beautiful. Our rooms were on the small side but updated and clean. This is a classic older motel, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

Mackinaw City Riveria

This was a great stop for the night on a trip further north. The view of the bridge was wonderful, especially after the fog lifted and it was lit up. Check in was easy and the man was very friendly and helpful. Pool looked nice but we didnt get to try it out. The place is close to some great things.

Excellent Motel stay

This hotel was clean, comfortable, almost on the Lake & had a great bridge view. One could buy ferry tickets to Mackinac Island. A city shuttle would pick you up for ride to ferry. It was a 4 block walk to the downtown area to souvenir shop or eat. The office had good customer service during open hours. The owner was accommodating to customer needs or questions. There was a refrigerator in the motel room but no microwave. One microwave was next to the office for customer use. There was a pool. Also chairs near lake edge. Our friends recommended this motel.

Memorably Peaceful & Relaxing

Thanks to welcoming man at check-in were able to access our rooms couple hrs early and enjoy much-needed naps. Early to mid-evening my travel companion & i fully immersed ourselves in a pretty blissful relaxation found no where else in Mackinaw City thx to the Riviera's uninterrupted expansive views of the entire straights. Ofc the Bridge.., and the steady, pleasant appearance & reappearance of the island ferries, ..., but we were most fortunate to catch 3 large freighters traversing between L. Michigan & L. Huron. All of the above paired w/ the unmistakable sounds found at the tip of the mitt..., waves gently hitting the shore, the deep baritone horns of the freighters and the shifting of the big rigs into lower gears as they climbed initial spans of the iconic bridge. The last of those even hit just right thanks to perfect mix of blue skys, clouds and off-shore breeze. All of this eclipsed by nothing more than the perfectly clean, comfortable and wonderfully! "up-North" themed guestrooms of the Riviera.

Well kept. Cute. Perfect location. Office staff very kind. Highly recommend!! Being able to buy ferry tickets and get picked up/dropped off at motel a plus. Also being able to walk to historical museums another plus for staying here. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets right outside your door! AC unit in our room was not staying cool, but does not change my mind about this motel. I will be back

Nice place to stay.

We stayed for a week. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean. The kids loved the heated pool and we loved the view of the lake and bridge from the pool. The bathroom was small and needed more counter or shelf space. The shower curtain had a tendency to move over the rim of the shower while in use causing water to get all over the bathroom floor. There was only one towel bar so we could only hang two towels to dry. We bought some suction hooks to hang our bathing suits in the shower. The room had a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. No microwave in the room, it was outside near the office. The rooms are nicely decorated. Overall a very nice place to stay.

Fantastic place to stay

Always wanted to stay here and now i have and it is our favorite. Check in was a breeze. Peter was always helpful and kind. Would recommend this place if you wabt to stay in Mackinaw City. It is not part of the "owned" hotels only looking to make a profit.
