"Beautiful resort"
This is a great resort despite the so so reviews I read. The good was very good except a few items but overall good. Room was OK, nothing special. The staff is fantastic, remembered our names and what we drink! Booked our excursions right at the hotel lobby and they did an awesome job giving great info and directions although we probably overpaid doing it there.

"Nice, quite place, just needs a few tweaks..."
Upon arrival, we were met by friendly staff with a strict check-in time of 3pm. The place is gorgeous, outright well kept grounds that look like a jungle, and clean rooms. The beach has a small footprint but doesn't feel overcrowded. Every staff member we met was friendly, gracious, and eager to make the stay pleasant. Watch out in the front area for the "time share" group and "excursion group" as they can hound. Our room was cleaned daily but was damp and dusky due to the humidity. We fixed it by lighting a candle at night, closing all windows, and putting a towel against the bottom of the door. The linens were good, mattresses on the budget end, and they are a little stingy with towels. We kept having to ask for enough for three people. Guys, pack some long pants and closed shoes if you want to eat at the nicer restaurants. I didn't as it was a beach vacation and we weren't allowed to try them. Speaking of food, it was always fresh and plentiful but it tasted like we ate the same thing for each meal. After 7 days, it got old quick. There are fixed times that food is served, be sure to get the daily flier from reception. On a side note, they must have had water issues during our stay as the shower and sink smelled like the mangrove area but it did clear up later during our stay. Overall, the hotel is smaller sized in room count than most but is very spread out. We never felt crowded by other guests. It was a nice place to just hang out and relax.

We have stayed here 4 years in a row. The facility is great. The staff is extremely attentive. The facility could not be cleaner. The only issue we had was slow check in process.

"Who could ask for anything more1"
From drinks at check in to the silky beach it was totally awesome. The staff was absolutely terrific and the property was beautiful and very clean. Restaurant choices were wonderful and the bars were very good and served quality drinks. The beach was beautiful with silky sand and smooth waters, abundant lounges and wait staff for drinks. They always had fun games going and the evenings had varied musical entertainment by the pool. Will be returning soon!

"Very relaxing resort"
Kore was a great experience. It was extremely relaxing. I was surprised by how quiet it was. I never felt like I was part of a huge crowd even though there were a lot of guests staying there at the same time. The biggest drawback was the food, but I had read about that before we booked so I expected it. The food just wasn't good and not a lot of options. I loved that they provided bikes to get around town, but I suggest a little more bike upkeep and having more bikes. It was stressful because if you didn't get out early you would have been out of luck that day. After seeing the other options around town I'm really glad we chose Kore Tulum. It was so clean! It's location was wonderful. Right on the ocean with awesome views, and centrally located to several beaches and to town. If we go back to Tulum I'd love to stay here again.

"The beach makes everything ok"
The check in/out desk is slow, they could use more people working during peak times. The grounds are wonderful. The pool is lovely but the varying degrees of volume on the music which mostly repeats the same set day after day is annoying. The 2 ft kid's pool is perfect to keep a small kid and margarita drinking parent happy day after day. There were usually other small kids around for the kids to interact with. The hotel seems sure whether its focus is family friendly or party friendly. Our first night in our room was a disaster. Room 213 closest to the concert/ event hall and front desk started in with the house music at 10pm and even worse mariachi band (my personal worst nightmare) started up at midnight and did not stop till 1am. No joke, it sounded like the band was inside our room. We were able to change to room 1611 the next day and the rest of our stay was fine. No more being woken up at night by music, only other hotel guests slamming doors and being loud in the doorway corridors. One of their excursion agents quoted us $89 per person for a day drip and on the next day another man quoted us $115 for the same trip - shady!! When I called him on the price change he got squirmy. A few staff members were wonderfully nice but most just doing their jobs. Food was just ok, drinks just ok. Despite all of the "just ok-ness" of this space, the beach is amazing and makes the marginality and affordability of this hotel worth the stay.
