"Friendly staff and overall a great place to stay"
I have stayed at the CHattanoogan twice now and have a third stay booked. The hotel is very clean, the staff is incredibly accommodating, and the rooms are nice. My husband and I also went to the spa within the hotel and were more than satisfied with our experience. What's really great about this hotel is that it's on one of the main streets of Chattanooga so everything you may want to see or do is a short walk or drive away. I highly recommend this hotel as it is the best in the area. H

"I love the environment. It's as if you stepped back in time."
The Choo Choo has many special qualities. I enjoyed sitting in the rose garden having my morning coffe while listening to the many song birds and enjoying the beautiful garden and fountains. I watch toads sneak out of some of the shubbery and make their way into the water sanctuary which housed many aquatic plants and of course fish. The restaurants are amazing especially the Station House with the singing servers. All in all it is a good place to be.

My Wife and I spent a night there during our honeymoon. The Hotel was beautiful and withing close distance to everything. The only thing we were not fond of was the pool and hot tub. The pool was only about 4 feet deep at the most and the jets did not work on the hot tub. Other than that we had a very pleasant stay. Thank You.

"Good place to stay but not what the pictures looked like"
I was looking for a place to stay in Chattanooga, that was different than any of the normal hotels, and saw the pictures of the Double Tree online and picked to stay there for our visit. The hotel was good for its value, but the pictures that you see online of the rooms and bathrooms, we didn't get. The bathrooms looked big and great, and it was very small. Liked it and would stay there again, but would look more first.

"Lovely, Romantic bed and breakfast."
Wonderful experience! My girlfriend loved this place, and so did I. The rooms have a lot of old features with modern conveniences. You can hear some creaks if people are above you, but I expected as much. The old wood just made it a little better for me. They now have noise machines beside the beds that sound like a window air conditioner. (I passed on that).

"so convenient and what a great staff"
we were not expecting anything fancy but were pleasantly surprised when we were treated with such hospitality. we asked to move rooms to be nearer to the pool for my children and were immediately moved. the staff at the desk answered every one of my questions we even waited while they printed directions for another guest. the pool was adequate and we enjoyed not having to drive because of the free bus. we would stay again on our next drive down state.

"Friendly and comfortable stay in convenient location."
We decided to go with the Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown and pay a little extra, rather than stay at the other locations outside of the city center, and we were very pleased we did so. The location is great if taking a short family vacation to see some of the main attractions of Chattanooga. The Creative Discovery Museum, Tennessee Aquarium and other great places are within walking distance. Additionally, the hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to help us and our kids. The rooms and hotel in general was very clean. The beds were comfy as always at Hampton. A great example of what we have come to expect and like about Hampton Inn.

The Best Time to Visit Chattanooga

Chattanooga crowds with visitors during the summer months. Because the city is within driving distance from many other cities in Tennessee, the Carolinas, Kentucky, and other southern states, it is an easily accessible vacation destination. If you are looking for hotels in Chattanooga, TN, book your vacation package early if you are planning on visiting during the summer. Because of its southern location, the city can become very hot and humid during the summer months. However, many of the indoor attractions are well air-conditioned, making visitors happy to get out of the sun.

Because of the city's large summer crowd, visitors who don't have to travel during the summer can save money on their entire vacation by opting to visit during the spring, fall, or winter. Although it doesn't snow as much as it does in the northern states, temperatures in the winter can remain around freezing. Spring and especially fall offer better rates on hotels, fewer crowds, and the same awesome attractions. In the fall, the surrounding landscape and mountains burst with colored leaves. If you like natural beauty, cozy lodging, brisk air, and saving money, fall might be the perfect time for you to travel.
