The cleanness and the classical upscale lobby were what impressed us the most. The staff were very helpful and polite. However, I would like to see the matresses and beddings be more up to date. Overall, it was a very nice stay at Read House at Chattanooga.

1920s flapper style hotel - very classy

Enjoyed the 1920s flapper styling of this hotel down to the soundtrack in the lobby and old style billiards room behind the bar. It was very peaceful and the staff were great!

No words can truly capture the beauty and rich history of this place. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional...valet and door greeter were polite, warm, and welcoming. The decor throughout the hotel was stunning, filled with charm and character. Vintage and in pristine condition. The cleanliness of every inch of the building is something to admire! The highlight of our stay was the tour of Room 311 with Mr. Kirby with the Derby experience. Mr. Kirby is an absolute gem..kind, funny, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He has a natural presence that belongs on a stage, captivating guests of all ages. His storytelling brought the history of the hotel to life in a way we'll never forget. If you're visiting, make sure not to miss the tour. Mr. Kirby alone is worth the trip! •only complaint is that air was a little messed up and it never got cool enough

Absolutely gorgeous since the remodel, the nicest hotel in Chattanooga!!! my only tiny negative thing is they do not provide any sort of bath or shower gel, only old-fashioned bar soap! I felt like I'd stepped back into the 90s, and for such a luxurious hotel they definitely should provide shower gel.
