In 1678, at the site of the present Transfiguration Cathedral, a Jesuit collegium and a church were erected. When the Jesuit order was closed in 1773, the church became the Uniate Order of the Basilian monks, in 1831 - became an Orthodox city council, and in 1937 was destroyed. After the establishment of the Ovruch Eparchy of the UOC (1993), in 1990-2001, on the old foundations erected a new cathedral, which acquired the status of a cathedral. The form of the temple differs from the old one and combines motifs of different styles of old architecture: the body in the form of a basilica is crowned from the western end of a high bell tower, and in the middle - a mighty 5-chapter.
A special attraction of Radomysl is a unique 4-ton monument, built right in the middle of the river. This is a monument to the founder of the first paper mill in Central Ukraine, the archimandrite of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, Yelisey Pletenetskiy, who immortalized the figure of a monk sitting in a stone boat with a candle, and an open book in front of him. The boat symbolizes the earthly path of man, which he must go, and the expanded book - knowledge.
