Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront
"When we choose the property that was part of the package, the customer rating was 8.3. It was quite a surprise when we arrived. Not what we expected. There were water on the street and the parking was a little dim. The lobby was kind of deserted but the night clerk was helpful. As we entered the building where we were to stay, there was a strong smell of marijuana. Our room had a musty smell and there corner carpet by the mirror needs repair. The arm rest of the sofa seat was dirty. The water in the sink was so slow to drain which was a a setback with the nice setting of the lavatory. Housekeeping did replenished the towels when we requested for a change. Shower was clean with the right water temperature which was a plus. Great that a roof safe is available to use free of charge. And the coffee maker and coffee is a great addition. Wish there was complimentary drinking water. What we loved most with the hotel was the ocean view. Very relaxing to just be there in spite of the heat wave throughout our stay. We enjoyed the breakfast with Lisa and Rich welcoming us like family. It is a good stay and I'd recommend friends to give it a go ... and why not ... we may stay again if given the chance again. Staff were amazing by the way ... very respectful and friendly."
