Even though there is a limited range of places to stay within Sarteneja, you needn't worry as you will easily find an excellent range of alternatives in the surrounding region. You will be spoilt for choice with 24 lodgings situated within a 19-mile (30-kilometer) radius of Sarteneja
The El Secreto, Belize, which is the closest hotel, is 25 miles (39 kilometers) from the heart of downtown Sarteneja. Or instead, why don't you head to the Fiesta Inn Chetumal Hotel, located in Quintana Roo, which is 16 miles (26 kilometers) outside of the city center.
It's worth having a look at the City Express Chetumal as well as the Villas Bambú by Isa. The City Express Chetumal is just 19 miles (30 kilometers) away from the city center of Sarteneja. "Amazing and beautiful!!! This is the best place you can stay if you don’t mind being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s set pretty far from town so the drive on a a golf cart can be a bit much, however, I consider that totally worth it. The property was well maintained. The rooms/villas were so cute. The shower was the best! Waking up to the sunrise and seeing the beach like 20 feet away was one of the best feelings ever. So relaxing and refreshing."
