It is a 3 star hotel in SF. The rates are OK, the hotel is older. But, the place is spotlessly clean and feels like it is well looked after. A no frills cost effective place to stay. We will stay there again.

Economical, clean, quiet

This was our second stay here. Way better than the first time in 2022. This place is basic, only coffee in the morning. It's right on Union square, coffee to the action. The top floor rooms are a little warm, but the windows open. The price is right.

We loved it here!! The location was perfect for using public transportation and was also a perfect middle ground for all the tourist things San Francisco has to offer. The room was super clean and staff was very accommodating. We definitely would stay again.

room next to elevator

I was in room 524. This room is immediately to the left as you exit elevator. exiting my room last evening, i completely startled this woman as i exited my hotel room door and instantly at her back. Luckily i quickly put her at ease. all rooms that end in 24 should be the last rooms in that category on each floor

Window please viewing the main st 4th

Once i arrived early ,I ask if i could check in he said no its to early 130pm .i replied i will pay he suddenly agreed. Iasked a window looking towards the main st. 4th He said cant then another guess checking in for alonger stay got to change to the room iwas supposed to get and they gave it to him and i got tottal different room . But just a min ago he told me no that i couldnt change my room i had to stay with the one i got online which every one thatone was i didnt get it either Suddenly i was getting a new room .

My reservation was paid for in full, in advance ie deducted from my account, but the hotel clerk did not honor the booking. When asked why the clerk stated that they do not accept prepaid credit cards or gift cards. This was totally insulting a tremendous inconvenience and really pissed me off. If hotel policy prohibits the use of prepaid credit cards, then the transaction should have been declined when the reservation was made but instead the money was deducted immediately my reservation was cancelled and my safety compromised when forced to seek lodging elsewhere in the middle of the night.
