The location was great and the staff was super friendly! The amenities provided were fantastic as well - a very nice gym, pool, and social gathering areas. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed provided. My only complaint would be the noise at night, but that is going to happen in any downtown location. Earplugs are the best solution for any light sleeper such as myself. I would recommend this place and would stay here again if I was in the area!

Well equipped with friendly staff

The ladies on the desk were very welcoming and helpful. When I requested my maid service (once per week) with a young man at the desk, it was arranged immediately and done by the time I returned from lunch, so very efficient! The pool area is lovely, as is the communal lounge. I had a corner unit & it was great! The only thing is the noise- no bars or clubs but a lot of sirens/people yelling can be heard, so bring earplugs! And the dryer seemed to take an ling time. Other than that it’s well equipped, huge fridge, nice bathroom, comfy bed and lots of storage. Walkable to reading terminal and love park etc. Great base to explore the city

This hotel was much better than I could’ve ever imagined. They have everything you need including an outdoor swimming pool that is heated above 80°.. they had the most amazing staff who were so friendly, especially Amina, Robert, and Nazir.

Excellent Hotel Experience

Staying at the Roost was a great experience for me. I've stayed at pricier hotels in Philly over the last few years and paid a lot more for a lot less. My room was well appointed, clean, quiet, and cost efficient. I will definitely stay again next time I visit the area.

I had a fantastic eight night stay at Roost East Market. My one bedroom apartment was spacious, beautifully decorated, and decked out with a full kitchen and laundry facilities. The 24/7 reception staff were always friendly and helpful, and I wished I had explored the facilities on the third floor (heated pool, lounge, gym, kitchen with coffee machine) before my last day! The building is in a great location - located very close to a supermarket, pharmacy, eateries (including Reading Terminal Market), public transport, the Convention Centre, and many of Philly’s main tourist attractions. As a solo traveller, I also appreciated the constant presence of security guards in the East Market area. I most definitely would consider staying at Roost again the next time I’m in Philly.
