Great Location. Convenient walking distance to Times Square, Penn Station and other attractions. Spacious room for NYC, great breakfast and M-T Happy Hour. Our shower head broke, and it was fixed expeditiously. One area of improvement: Public bathrooms were out of order. After our checkout, we had to wait for use of private room that was held for this purpose. Long wait!

The Element at San Jose and San Clara have me spoiled. The Element NYC Room aesthetic was lacking. Wall paper peeling, mild in the bathroom, shower faucet fell off. Daytime staff was not customer centric. Room service was supposed to be every other day but was not consistent and only consisted of clean towels and taking out trash. Telephones were not working, kitchen staff was rude when replenishing supplies during breakfast. Breakfast patio was cold , I can only imagine the heat during summer.
