Old building, no room service

I preferred it because of the suites but it wasn't what I expected. The living area side layout wasn't inviting at all and we didn't want to spend any time there. The property is old and needs major upgrading with very old carpets etc. Staff was nice but no uniformity in service (some leave teas, some don't, some replenish toilet tissues, some don't, didn't change the soiled sheet the whole week even though i asked etc etc). Also we were exhausted when we got there and were dying for room service. There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel amd we wanted to order and get it delivered to the room but they don't! We had to drag ourselves down in pajamas and order and bring our own food. They dont even add the in hotel breakfast to your bill... I personally would not stay there again.

Fire alarm went off and the announcer was talking in French. Later on someone translated it to English. We went down 25 floor by stairs. An hour later it’s like nothing ever happened. No acknowledgment nor apology of what happened. So strange. They had elevator issues all the time when we stayed there. I would not recommend them at all. We felt like they weren’t welcoming at all.

Nice pool, only valet parking and small elevators

There is a rooftop pool, literally on the roof the 28th floor. It’s very clean. Our room was clean with a small but handy kitchenette. The valet service was very smooth and very efficient. There’s NO parking lot so you must use the valet or find other parking. Valet is an add on cost not included in the price. The only downfall was very small elevators. Squish in or you’ll be waiting a long time.

Decent Stay, But Several Issues

We recently stayed at Hotel Le Cantlie Suites and had a mixed experience. I had booked three rooms for our group, but upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that the rooms were spread 20 floors apart—not ideal for families or groups hoping to stay close together. Another concern was cleanliness. The rooms felt like they could have used a more thorough cleaning, and the bathrooms in particular were not up to standard—something you'd expect to be a given at this price point. That said, the location is excellent—right in the heart of downtown Montreal, which made getting around very convenient. There's definitely potential here, but the hotel needs to step up its attention to detail and guest experience. Would consider staying again only if improvements are made.

This is a really nice hotel which is deceptive when you arrive. It can seem really busy as the hotel is fairly small area wise but tall. When we arrived there was a coach tour in the lobby so it was quite busy. The rooms are nice and clean but not as modern as some hotels but I was happy with our room. The bar area/restaurant area again was quite small but perfectly adequate and we loved having a drink in the bar after a day sightseeing. The rooftop pool was a plus with great views and a lovely seating terrace around the opposite side of the pool. I would consider staying again as it's in a great location.

The hotel is dated. The beds are really uncomfortable. The location is great though while I'd you have a car you pay $35 a night for the valet parking. We really did not like the beds and the 10 minutes wait each time we needed to is the elevator.

Everything is small: the elevators, the pool and the room. It said « suite room » so we expectated a room at least a little bigger than a regular hotel room… It was actually smaller than most regular rooms we were in. We could feel they were understaffed: there was never enough towels at the pool. I thought I had a bargain but it was not. I actually felt I paid too much. BUT I must add that the staff was really nice and dedicated.

Nice for 2 but with more than 10 people it’s crowded.

Had a wonderful weekend at this hotel. Excellent location, walking distance to the Metro, McGill University, Eaton Centre and plenty of restaurants. Clean rooms and all the staff are very polite and attentive. Will definitely be back!

Very satisfied!

The room was very tidy and nice. It seems newly renovated but the buildings give a bit of an older feel especially the elevators. There are no freebies like breakfast or parking but this is expected being in such a convenient location downtown. There is a full kitchenette with stove, oven, fridge and microwave. Sevice from the front desk, baggage and parking valet was excellent. I really liked the roof top pool and lounge area. I just wish it opened a bit longer. The picture in the ads are exactly amazing and the views were awesome.
