We adore The Crescent, and the direct beach access is truly the best part of staying here—it's why we return repeatedly. However, our recent stay was severely marred by the property management company, Vacasa.Upon arrival, we immediately reported that the air conditioning was not working. Water wasComing up through the flooring. The local property manager was initially very rude and blamed us for entering the condo early before calling back to apologize. A technician confirmed a coil needed replacement, but the repair was never approved.Instead of fixing the unit, Vacasa eventually offered to move us to a different condo on Tuesday. This was after she told us Saturday there was nothing else available there. Due to our planned activities, we could not pack up until Wednesday night, and by then, the evenings were cool enough to manage with open doors. The issue was never fully resolved by management.We were reimbursed 400 for the inconvenience, but this did not excuse the lack of communication and poor service.Crucially, other significant maintenance issues we reported—including ripped sheets, a moldy shower, and no hot water in the kitchen—were never addressed during our entire stay.While we love The Crescent property itself, the handling of multiple maintenance issues by Vacasa was unacceptable. Future renters should be cautious when booking this unit if Vacasa remains the property manager.P.S. the pool is wonderful but be prepared it’s not heated and very cold!
