The entrance to the hotel looked very posh as was reception however, when we went to the room it was very dated. There was wear and tear to parts of the room which didn’t really bother us but we did expect more from a Ramada hotel. The room could also do with more plug sockets. 2 sockets in a triple room when a fan (which didn’t rotate and was rickety) needed to be plugged in as the room was so hot which left one socket for the tv, kettle, our hair driers, straighteners and phone chargers. The restaurant was more like a canteen. We only had breakfast which was buffet style. On the photos it looked amazing. However, there was no choice of egg, only scrambled and no black pudding. There was no fruit on either day and on the Saturday there was one croissant which looked like it had been sat on. We had to ask for the coffee machine to be fixed and although the waitress did fix it, I got the impression she wasn’t very happy. When getting juice, I noticed ants on the drip tray. On the Sunday, there were 2 staff working. The majority of the tables were uncleared. We had to ask for plates so we could get our breakfast. The breads, pastries and juices were empty. One of the waiters had been asked for things to be filled up but again it seemed like a huge effort and the only thing filled up while we were there was the juices. Again when getting our juice there were ants on the drip trays. I heard another guest mention it the waiter and he just wiped them into the drip tray.

The room was not in the best condition, you could see where they have removed the AC and just put a plate over the wall, the bed had also been changed to a smaller one. There was also a £5 parking fee upon arrival

I book for accessible room due to my wife acute condition, after arriving at the hotel at midnight from our journey. I was told they don’t have accessible rooms and I was left in the reception for about 2 hours trying to sort out and finally I was left with non accessible room, very bad bedding and it was a disaster when my wife used the toilet in the morning. I would try to avoid the hotel in this kind of condition.

The hotel has a policy where it charges customers extra for parking if you did not book through their main website. This is unfair and blatant extortionate. Also, the walls are so thin you hear everything around you. Next door was another family and the kids were playing up to 3am. We could barely sleep and my child kept being woken up. We booked a family room where we paid extra but it was just a standard double room with single mattresses on the floor. The mattresses were very uncomfortable as it was cheap spring mattresses. You could feel the springs digging into you back. The room as has just 2 socket plugs, and one is already plugged into the TV. In summary the stay was underwhelming and the rate they charge is absolutely not worth the experience.
